What is going on with DISH, they still exist. Don't you think they could be a buy out target? Why wouldn't Nvidia buy them out? DISH(SATS) market cap is less than 5 billion, Nvidia could pay 2 or 3 times that much and it wouldn't even be noticeable on their finances.

Im seeing the full 140 MHz of C-Band on air with Verizon here in the SF Bay Area. Peak download speeds of over 1,4000 Mbps and peak upload speed of 197 Mbps.

Please use dedicated mics. The audio is pretty bad. There is echo and the voice quality has low fidelity and even crackling and popping.

Thanks guys for another good episode! Good point on 5G and not scoring its energy consumption against 4G by absolute difference, but instead by energy relative to throughput... where 5g likely holds its own. ... among other good points!

Keep in mind that Verizon spends about 2x what T-mobile spends on its network build and maintenance.

Verizon has owner economics with fiber and has much better tower density and MU-MIMO over T-Mobile. It only makes sense that Verizon would have better upload and quality on 5G UW. Verizon is doing this with only 60 MHz of C-Band spectrum in most markets. Just wait until they get the full contiguous 140-200 MHz cleared nationwide and upgrade a larger percentage of their towers to 10 gig fiber backhaul. They will surpass T-Mobile in download and availability before too long.

EdgeQ sounds promising but as Anshel remarked it getting it actually used commercially is the challenge.

Those are fantastic 5G upgrades. Uplink, mmwave, aggregation of channels.... finally a modem system that shows gains.

I think the mmWave frequencies are game changers in mno as well as private networking. Fwa will probably benefit the most in scale but these solutions have so much potential. Whatever happens in the future, I know it's going to create some amazing solutions.
