The CSIRORobotics Group at CSIRO is one of the leading robotics research groups in the world, based in Brisbane, Australia. Our research is in field robotics, pervasive computing, and computer vision. We are developing new techniques for 3D perception and localisation, the autonomous control of machines, and the operation of large scale outdoor wireless sensor networks. Our key strength lies in combining these techniques to produce novel solutions to practical problems in fields such as environmental monitoring, agriculture, mining, manufacturing and for the energy industry.
Challenges in Field Mobile Manipulation
Presented at ICRA40 in Rotterdam, we show the challenges faced by mobile manipulation platforms in the field. We at CSIRO Robotics are working steadily towards a collaborative approach to tackle such challenging technical problems.

This video demonstrates Wildcat's pose graph creation and optimisation in action. Each coloured pointcloud segment represents a Wildcat submap.
