Interesting conversation - I think you may enjoy our art handbook "There is No F in Art (is there?)"
This channel needs more love. Subscribe people!!!
Thank you Charlie for your kind words! Hot Breath loves you! FYI we are back in the UK for a show in London July 15th!!
Banksy falling in love with a fervent council planner ala Leslie Knope, is a film i would pay a lot of money to see
Just found you through Joe Wells. Shall watch more. Love a bit of art.😊
I came here looking for a text to toastie and stayed for the art. Reminds me of lunch hours spent wandering the National listening to lectures on a painting but without the laughter.
Loved it !
Great series by Verity
Just found Faitha. Such an interesting interview. Thank you 💖
This is great!
Absolutely love this episode! Cindy Sherman is fantastic and it was so interesting to listen to your bit on when people feel knowledgable enough about art to talk about it, such a great insight from someone who works at Tate! Xx
Fatiha is amazing!
I swear that girl messaged me something weird on instagram one time
Always great to see Faitha. So interesting how every day tasks express a love of art.
I really enjoyed this discussion around a Black history of art but am sorry to hear that neither of you looked at any of these works in school, and that at university it is not integrated into the core courses. You might like to know that the current Pearson Art History A-Level has decolonised the curriculum, is global, and includes compulsory works from outside the European tradition as well as facilitating the study of contemporary Black artists and their work, alongside representations of race and ethnicity through the compulsory theme of ethnicity on the optional 'Art & Identity' paper. The Art History paper of the International Baccalaureate has the Benoist portrait as a compulsory example on the C18/C19th option too. In fact the theme of 'Gender, Nationality and Ethnicity' first appeared in the AQA A-level syllabus in 2008. If you keep on making films like this you will find yourselves in sixth form classrooms!
Ahhhh, this interview with Mr Giles Gear was superb. He's a gem. So interesting to hear his take on art and what it means to him. Also, I loved the discussion of ability of audio to quickly take someone somewhere and it that sense it is art. Both radio and podcasts enter the ear and can move someone to varying degrees. I don't think about it as such but this medium is. I often sit back and listen to a podcast and am transported to another place.
How on earth did you get GILES BLOODY GEAR on here? Dude basically built Union Jack radio from the ground up! GO ON GILES!!!
So delightful to see a self-proclaimed Art Novice giving his take on things 😁😁
Great interview!
Cheers pipo 🥰
Dude is thirty?!
I know, I thought I’d have grown out of caps and hoodies by now
A delight to wallow through the field of art with you, VB!
So much story in one photo- I completely agree on the it giving you a powerful gut reaction that the context brings even more to. Really interesting video Verity! And the idea of Twitter verified ticks going next to paintings made me laugh hahah
It's my best man! What a handsome boy.
What a cracking painting. Great choice Daniel! So atmospheric

Ooooh fancy graphics! AND A UKE!!!
Great to chat to you Verity! You made me feel like I can actually have things to say about art 😅
PS. What software did you use to record this? xx
I really enjoyed watching this. xx
Really enjoyed this conversation - thought your questions v well-chosen. Especially enjoyed the stuff towards the end about how art can (and will/might) be consumed.
Really love your comments about contemporary male artists and the nude woman, something we should be talking more about
