Gear Review: Rugged Geek RG3000 HD 3000 Amp Portable 12V Jump Starter

Love the design and functionality! We keep one of these Rugged Geek batteries in both of our cars, boat, motorcycle and garage. I have used it to jump my car, lawnmower and motorcycle. They hold a charge for a really long time as well. I was at a golf course parking lot when I used it the first time. An interior light was left on, so the battery was dead when we came back. I was parked in a pla...

    Nice review of the Lone Rider tail bag. I love a soft tail pack much more than a hard case. I weaved an elastic shock cord through the molly straps. It makes a great place to temporarily stuff gloves, glasses or other items when getting off the bike for a break.

    I'm now ordering my second one. It's a great bag and no where near the price of the BMW one. But, after a couple years of offroad riding the bags weakness is the zipper. I'll probably not use my new one in dirt. Also sure could use a small hole to feed a recharge cable into the bag for a phone. But again, secure bag, great product in my view.

    Great man. I like how it fits. Did you ever do a interstate review for the F4 fairing? I’m about to order one and curious how it holds up on a long leg out here in the AZ desert. Thanks!

    • @adventuremototouring
      @adventuremototouring Рік тому

      Sorry no I haven’t done much interstate. I’ve got a 1200 GSA for that, so I’m a bit spoiled. The fairing will help, but it’s not a whole lot of wind protection. I love the fairing though and would choose it over any others that I’ve seen.

    Found your channel today. I picked up a 23’ 701. Have you had any issues with excessive vibrations in the throttle grip?

    • @adventuremototouring
      @adventuremototouring Рік тому

      The 701 is the smoothest enduro I’ve ever had. That said, I don’t do much on the highway. I ride mostly in the dirt or connector roads. Once in a while a longer road to get somewhere. I had a previous gen LC4 with a single counterbalancer and it was completely different in the vibrations. This one’s got dual counterbalancers and it’s a dream.

    The crossbars should be on top of the main bar, and those zippers on the side are not vents... they’re passthroughs for an electrical cord if you’re camping in a site that has power.

    Looks good for 1 person plus bags. What do you think between this and the moto-tent with its garage/vestibule?

    • @adventuremototouring
      @adventuremototouring 2 роки тому

      I like this one for the thing you described. The moto tent is a bit bigger to pack, but has more space. If I had two people and I wanted more space, then I would get the moto tent. Otherwise this adv tent is perfect for one person and more compact to carry. Although you could use it for two people.
