Fellow practitioner here. I really appreciate people who hide their true skill by appearing to do things casually and, as you put it yourself, "sloppily". Dia Vernon was among the early pioneers of handling cards in a relaxed, familiar manner - nothing too flashy - and of course we've since had the likes Dani Daortiz, Lennart Green and Markobi who've turned it into an artform. Nice work 👊

    - Magic circle doesn’t like when you film lectures or anything else. And it’s just a meeting nothing more. - about cups made in Germany. I think those were just regular cups but the guy I bought them from is very crafty and he made a stand and yes converted one of them to a chop cup. Sorry can’t give more info :) you can research all this online at any magic shop. Check out tccmagic.com or any other magic store.

Hey V, this was an excellent video. It's really well done and extremely informative. I like that gray set that was made in Germany that you showed towards the end. What Magic company made this set, and what are those cups made out of? TCC has been around for many years. I do not own any of their magic products, but I have seen recent UA-cam videos with guys who have performed many fantastic tricks by TCC and have spoken very highly of them. Best wishes on your trip to the Magic Circle. Are you planning to video your visit? Maybe you can show it on your UA-cam channel. While I was watching your video, I thought about asking you what the difference is between a cup for the cups and balls routine and the chop cup? You then mentioned that one of your cups from the cups and balls routine is also a chop cup. Did you say that it has a different bottom? 🤔 Thanks for your info. Stay safe, G

@vitaliysavchyshynatvitaliy9877 I sort of thought that you wouldn't be able to film anything at the magic circle. I just thought i would mention it. Lol. I understand why the magic circle wouldn't want anyone to film, including the meetings. Im sure they don't want any ideas, secrets, or personal things to get out. Best wishes. Hope to chat again when you make your next video. Have a great week.

Great demonstration. Thanks for sharing this. That cup is very nice. Do they make this same trick and use brass balls? I forget who Im thinking about, but I thought I saw this chop cup with the brass or metal balls? I was just wondering. Happy belatelated birthday... 🎉🎉 lol. Have a great weekend.

Maybe you thinking of Paul Gartner and his cups and balls routine with metal bearing balls. But I don’t think he uses chop cup just three cups and balls. Check out tccmagic.com you can ask them.

@vitaliysavchyshynatvitaliy9877 - Hey buddy, thanks for your reply. Paul Gurtner is a good guess, but I just remembered who I was thinking about. His name is GAZZO. Have you heard of him? He did excellent street performances. I heard a while ago that he was very sick and not doing well. I hope he is getting better, but I haven't heard anything since. I could also be wrong about him using metal balls for the CHOP CUP. It could have been the cups and balls routine that he did, and Im making a mistake.. But he was the first magician i thought of. I can't do the CHOP CUP. I have done the cups and balls a long time ago, with the colored plastic cups, lol. I still have my old plastic set from the 50s. My grandmother gave them to me. They were made by ADAMS. An ole buddy gave me a set of the colored plastic cups and balls about 3 yrs ago, and they are still in the unopened pkg, lol. I forget who made them, but the company is well known. No biggie. Lol. Let me ask you this, Is there a magician who uses metal balls with the CHOP CUP ? That would be helpful, lol. I also just realized that maybe PAUL DANIELS used metal balls with the CHOP CUP. Any thoughts? I will check out todays video. Wow, you have a lot of those cups. Very nice. I still use my old magic store tricks, but I have been more into card magic. Thanks again, my friend. I hope that you and your wife and families are all well . Glen

I love Gazzo but I don’t like wearing pouches. Paul’s routine is amazing and super funny - - where is the ball? - It’s on top of the cup. - No, it’s on top of the bottom of the cup lol But I don’t think he did it with a metal balls. But if you think about it, it’s would be possible since it’s a chop cup. I guess it would depend on how heavy the ball is and how good is the cup. I’m planning to buy couple more so I have 3 cups and balls combo with one being chop cup. I’ll post it ones they here :)

@vitaliysavchyshynatvitaliy9877 - LOL, I hear ya. Thanks. That helps. I know what you mean by the weight of the ball and the strength of the cup. Yes, Paul Daniels was hilarious and so original and amazing. I just remembered that I think I saw Paul Gurtner do the cups and balls with metal balls on Penn and Teller? Did you see that one? It might still be on UA-cam. G

A incredible deck that at times doesnt get the recognition it deserves, I professionally Pitched Svengali Decks at trade shows for years, some days would easily sell 300 decks. The key I found was as you mention having a combined routine involving as many of the people watching as possible and making it quick and lots of fun do your pitch and sell the decks, I baffled so many people as the deck was shuffled, handled by the spectators, cut the cards, count to the card etc.. and as you mention dont over emphasise the deck is just a normal deck etc. Many times you did not need to show all the deck as 1 card, its a great option and finale but not necessary in your pitch. Honing your routine over tens of thousands of demos you get really good at it and just concentrate on the fun with the large crowds gathering to watch

One of the first self working tricks I learned as a kid. Although I do the trick face down so I never see the card myself. I show piles to the person and they say whether the card is there. Once you know the card is in the 11 spaces. You can make it seem like you guessed the wrong pile. And I deal 4 face down piles (noting where the 11th is) Ask the person to choose piles and remove each one other than the marked pile. Eventually deal out the last five face down (chosen card will be 3rd) and let them choose and discard as before until you have one card for the reveal.
