However Lea is also a busy Senator at this time (Chair of the Defense Council) so of course she would send C3po as her messenger. Besides in Lea's eyes he is more than a mere droid he's family.

Put simply, Qui-gon was a threat to Palpatine because he was so untethered from the Council, and it was the Council Palpatine was maneuvering, and through them the entire Jedi Order. In psychology, one dissenter can be quickly shouted down, but even just a single other dissenter all but guarantees a near-total collapse of group consensus and conformity. Had Qui-gon lived into the Clone Wars, a Jedi Master AND the Chosen One dissenting with the Council's chosen path (chosen by Palpatine, that is) would've been a beacon to all the other Jedi who didn't like what was happening, and would've served as a solid core around which to build a Jedi movement to protest the war. However, since Qui-gon died before the Clone Wars, once they broke out the Jedi who might've otherwise dissented didn't, or were isolated from each other by the groupthink of the wider Order that they were easy to deal with.

I think Qui gon would have figured out who Palpatine faster.

Qui-gon's true threat was philosophical. His beliefs stood in stark contrast to the increasing politicisation of the Jedi. He had potential to be a counterweight to the corrupt Jedi Council, serving as an example for other Jedi to follow. The Order's corruption (and weakened connection to the Force) was apparent, especially during the Clone Wars, but no Jedi besides Anakin would stand against it.

It still makes no sense. Capturing Grievous will end the war and its the first task of Jedi Council. And Grievous also fought multiple Jedi while capturing Chancellor in Coruscant and prevailed. So its known that even if 3-4 jedi master would not be enough. Yet they are deciding to only send 1 jedi master for this critical mission. It's so stupid i guess George didnt think this one.

My prediction is that Hunter, Echo, Wrecker and Crosshair will die in the hands of Darth Vader. Omega will survive and Asajj Ventress will raise to protect herself in the big galaxy. Lucas talked about a few different ideas for a sequel trilogy in the times both before and after he finished shooting the prequels. While i have zero love for the sequels we got, Im not entirely sure George himself wouldve fared much better. I think perhaps the movie needed to better portray Anakin lusting for power, I mean from the film he just comes across as conflicted and regretful at his turn as a necessary evil to save his wife and wasnt really fully committed until he had nothing left. I mean the Jedi basically offered him nothing but servitude while Palpatine offering him to be a right hand in ruling the galaxy is pretty compelling in terms of playing to Anakin's ego.

Because apparently the amount of Light Side Force in any given area is finite and the more Jedi you send the more likely they will end up like red shirts. Just look at the arrest attempt on Palpatine. He kills off three Jedi Masters within seconds, but once it's just him versus Windu the fight becomes more balanced.

nice makes sense canonically as well because Vader has a better connection with the force to do a force pull like that and has far more battle experience but most of all he already suffered from his arrogance once so of course he wouldn't do it again
