I'm 65. Watched the Glen Campbell TV show. My grandmother loved him, even tho he was a "long hair", but I didn't know what a talent he was in the 60's. 60 years later, lots of learning, I now know, too late, what a talent he ( and Leon ) were

Glen Campbell, great voice, but fuck, he's Angus Young, Roy Clark and Eddie Van Halen on the 6 string and nobody really brings it up. He's a virtuoso.

The guitar Glen is playing looks custom .......is it a special guitar by any chance?

Have always loved each of these titans, separately. Love to see them together. Glen Campbell was the very best of the best as a guitar player. 1 bar of Leon Russell's piano is all you need to know that it's him playing. Love.

Stunned to find this today. Two gods playing together! Makes you wonder if they knew the greatest musical party the earth has ever seen was going to happen and decided it was the right time to visit.

This one and the Stevie Ray Vaughan with Albert King are my favorite in sessions

I actually played with Leon in 96' Olympics at the tennis venue opening ceremony, it was one of my most fondest memories as a guitarist to have shared the stage with him, rip brother

Love this! I had the good fortune to see Glenn in Vegas in a very small venue at, I think, the Elks or some such. His daughter (Ashley?) was playing with him. Mesmerizing...I swear, I could watch and listen to him all day. These 2 giants jamming together...color me mesmorized once again. Thanks so much for putting this out there.

This is great. These guys are musicians at heart. And being with other musicians. Also, we have to be honest..cocaine and alcohol were part of these guys habits at this point. That ain't apple juice that Leon drinks. Not that it overshadowed what they are doing at all. Just an era.

I love Glens' voice. These are two of my favorites. I never saw Leon live but I remember Glen Cambell at the Seattle Aqua Theater sometime in the late 60's. Many others, including Sonny and Cher on the same show..outdoors at night right on Green Lake.

Did Vince Gil and Glen Campbell ever play together. If so I would love to see/hear it.

Glen is no question at the top of most talented people in my lifetime.

Glen Campbell and Leon Russell part of the Wrecking Crew and Glen one of the most underrated musicians of our lifetime and Leon is one of the top 3 American song writers...Glen from Arkansas and Leon is an Okie...It is a miracle they met in Los Angeles

Fun fact, Glen Campbell was an A-Call list session guitarist in LA "wreaking crew" that never learned to read music . Massive talent got him through this period until he was recognized as an incredible singer/songwriter frontman. It's also claimed that Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder never learned to read music either so probably over rated as musical necessity.

I was at the Jungle Bar in Grand Junction, Colorado around ‘82. Late night walks in Leon, Johnny Winter and I think Rick Derringer. They played until 3am.

Saw Leon Russell in the strangest room in Vegas 98 or 99. Can't recall the venue but I was sure happy I went out on a work night. What a fabulous musician. What's in the water in Oklahoma?
