    I have said it before, and I Will say it again! I love me some crushing crappie! This guy here is the real deal, and do you know how I know that? Well I'll tell you! You'll notice when he is fishing he doesn't sit down Because it represents bad posture, and bad posture promotes a lackadaisical approach to what you are doing... You'll notice his upbeat tempo, And this promotes good posturing that has positive vibrations that are leaving him and going out into the water ,let alone the fact that when he speaks I would not have a problem with any age child be it mine or anybody else's coming on here and watching one of his videos, because I know it will be kept clean and respectful and to the point! He treats the fish with respect and returns them to the lake if he is not keeping them as fast as he possibly can, and this promotes good character that a lot of fishermen seemed to have lost on the lake not only with the fish, but the fisherman as well! And his knowledge on catching crappie, I'm not even going to get into that Because some things are so clear that there's just nothing to say . And he don't pay me to come on here and say this, I personally never met the man in real life. I come on here and say this Because I believe 100% that this guy would not come on here and give false information or try to mislead somebody. I come on here and say this because it's the least I can do for somebody that goes out and puts in the time on the water with his boat and his gas and time out of his life to bring information like this to people like me and everybody else, it's the least I can do is come on here and thank him publicly because he deserves it. I come on here and say it because I acknowledge his character as a man, And I consider him an ambassador to our sport for the future generation. A lot of crappy videos on here kids do not stay interested in and watch it for 3 or 4 minutes and they're gone. I believe this man could hold the attention of a class of kindergarteners so well, he could never even let them have their lunch time nap with their chocolate milk , and not one kid would be mad, or fall asleep in class for the whole year! I got a hundo on it ! ( That's a crisp $100 bill ) Love you man! Keep up the great videos! I'm going to come up there one of these days this summer or spring and go fishing with you, and then you're going to come down here with me one day when they stock them rainbow trout in Rush run ! I'll give you my limit to take home too because I'm not that fond on trout ! But I love them slabs!

    Thank you for sharing your knowledge, you made it VERY easy to understand. One question regarding finding shad: Once you found shad on fish finder, what happens next, do I start casting there and fish de depths of where the shad is? Shad are constantly moving, do we keep moving with them or once I find shad, should I find structure in that immediate area? Thanks for your help.

    • @crushincrappie6525
      @crushincrappie6525 Місяць тому

      That's Great if you're finding Shad on your fish Finder - if the Crappies are actively feeding on the Shad you're seeing - they'll usually be suspended below the Shad - if there is cover in the area which is what I usually look for then thoroughly scan these area as well as adjacent ledges. If there are Shad in the area - crappies usually aren't far off!! great question - let me know how you get on - Hope it helps!!! Thanks for watching, Sir!!!

    • @crushincrappie6525
      @crushincrappie6525 Місяць тому

      Hi Craig - they can but it's not typical - you can tell when you catch a crappie and you see the characteristics of both. I've not seen it often but I have seen it! Great question - not one I hear often but it just so happens that in my last Video - I believe the first fish I caught was a hybrid I had a hard time identifying whether it was a black or white crappie when usually there is no mistaking the 2 😃 More to come and thanks so much for watching!!!

    I've said it before , and I'll say it again ... The way this guy teaches is so powerful , he could teach kindergarten. all year long , and not have one kid fall asleep for the entire year ! And I guarantee you they would all be straight A students ! I love me some crushing crappie , and I'll tell you why ! THIS GUY is the real deal ! And I know that because I've watched hundreds if not thousands of crappie videos , and not a single one I've ever watched kept you glued to the screen like his videos do and I'm going to bring out some pointers that he does that gets your attention , that the guys don't do ! No1 very upbeat and positive vibes from this guy ! You'll notice he doesn't sit down like all the other guys do, why ? Because that promotes bad posturing and laziness. And it doesn't matter if you are seeing it , or you are the one that is doing it, it makes your mind get in a lethargic state that kills positive vibrations , and is a motivational killer ! Standing up promotes alertness, and proper posturing ! And again it doesn't matter if you are the one seeing it , or you are the one doing it , this keeps your mind in a positive state , with positive vibrations ! And we all know what happens when we are feeling confident , yeah you got it , we are successful in most everything that we do ! He doesn't pay me to come on here and rate his videos , or tell me to boost the comments by writing a big well-planned reply . I do this on my own because it's the very least I can do for a man that goes out and spends so many hours on the water , and brings back real world results through trial and error , and share that information with us ! I do it Because I believe in the guy , and the methods that he teaches . I do it because he keeps his videos clean, and I would not have any problem with any child of any age whatsoever watching one of his videos, because I know his character , and his isn't of that kind ! It's of a kind that is rare in this world today , it's the good kind ! Here's to crushing crappies in 2025 !

    That was awesome. I’m new to the Midwest (Southeast Iowa) and putting in the research time. This helps. The question is that I’m sure using the double jig rig to bank fish can be effective to locate crappies in the water column, however is there a way around cutting to switch jig head colors in the search? I also need those gloves to keep my hands dry and possibly warm too. Advise, thanks??

      Hey There - I just realized I hadn't responded to you and thought I had!!! Firstly Welcome to the Midwest, Sir - Hope you're ready for the cold!! and Yes... the double and triple Rigs can be very effective for locating fish ... But I personally prefer using the Loop knots as opposed to Swivels. But I would say try it out! Snaps are fasting but personally, I think you loose a bit of naturalness if you use a snap or swivel. But I'd say - try it out and see if your catch ratios differ in any way - at the end of the day... that's what fishing all about, right? finding more effective ways to catch fish!! Great Question!! and the gloves are definitely a hit - gonna be producing my own line of them soon! But the ones I have on are from Home Depot!! Thanks so much for watching!!! thanks for your feedback - again.. welcome to the Midwest and a big Welcome to the Channel!!! Tight lines!!! More to come!!!

    Thanks for sharing . I fish mostly rivers does fall turnover occur on rivers or just lakes?

    • @crushincrappie6525
      @crushincrappie6525 2 місяці тому

      @Billy-f2f Yes.. though it doesn't occur quite the same as a lake turnover. The reason primarily is that there is usually some level of current running through rivers mixing the water, but at some point if the surface cools enough, a turnove in the river occurs, allowing for thorough mixing of the water and the column holds that consistency as dominant til warmer weather sets back in!! Great question!!! Thanks so much for watching!!!

      @ the reason I ask is I’m new to crappie fishing. There’s nothing wrong with using live scope in my opinion, it’s just expensive. I have a good hummingbird but it’ll only do down scan. A good unit with side scan I think would help me a lot as it’ll allow me to scan wider and eliminate dead water.

    • @crushincrappie6525
      @crushincrappie6525 2 місяці тому

      @@RemiGarza-u5m You're absolutely correct - Sidescan/downscan is tough to beat on a good unit. How deep is the water you fish? I have the Garmin 93svUHD... and it's a good unit. However, anything greater than 60 ft on both sides gets a bit hard to read on a 9 inch screen. If the water your fish is relatively shallow - I'd say go for it but any deeper, then I'd look at a bigger and display and at least the GT56 Transducer - if you're considering Garmin!!

    Thanks for the knowledge on the turnover.i fish a pond and there is trees in the water but not deeper then 7 -8 feet and I fish from the bank,why cant I locate any crappie in this Oct Nov weather?

      HI Dale - if the water you're fishing is 8ft at its deepest and there are trees in the water - then I'd recommend Slip Cork'n to find them initially. Under spins would be a good option as well to cover more water at different depts to see where you get your strikes. What I'd recommend is to go out early in the morning - and hit the trees - use 2 different pole with Slip cork setups - and I've got a few vids on how to setup a slip rig for reference in case you need it. Fish one rod close to the tree and one rod off the tree a bit. Use Live minnows to start and fish different depts, adjusting 6inches to a foot through the water layer until you find the fish. you may get hung up a bit - just make a mental note and adjust and any open areas free of hang-ups, work those areas with spinners. If you work the entire pond employing these methods - if there are Crappies in it... you'll hitt'em at some point!!! Thanks for the qurestion and Thanks so much for watching - let me know how you do and if you have any more questions - please let me know - looking forward to hearing that you've limited out!!! Tight lines!!!😃

    I just saw your channel and you have explained the water and weather conditions most excellent. I fish for crappie in the se ga. Creeks and they are always changing. Especially now with the heavy rains lately. My wife and I have to fish in heavy brush and expect to hang up frequently. Fishing two jigs are out of the question. I bought a extending golf ball retriever and it works great to save the jigs. Also use the churetruse crappie bites. We are going to try out the thump gel as soon as the weather agrees. Thanks for your help.

      What is the secret to finding and chasing bait fish, it seems easier in early morning and then it's trial and error . HELP

    • @crushincrappie6525
      @crushincrappie6525 2 місяці тому

      @@kennethgriffith2374 So I have the UHD93 sv as well but I don't use Panotix Live scope. But it sounds like you're going to have to get a separate mount. That way - even without spot lock - once you find some fish you could anchor from the back and use the trolling motor up front to pan from righ to left a bit without loosing your position too much and adjust your mount to stay forward facing the fish. Otherwise, it'll be really tough to stay on giving location with the Trolling motor and keep the sonar facing the fish... the only other scenario is when there is zero wind
