    Hi I'm trying to do this I've done the rib okay but when it comes to the knit a row purl a row it doesn't look right. I've put a marker at the end of each row. Do I need to do something like turn the needles round because if i just continue it it doesn't seem right? Any advice would be great not used these needles before thanks

      Hi Jenny! Normally stocking stitch is knit a row, purl a row, but when working in the round, you need to knit every row. If you watch the video tutorial at around 14 minutes in, we are at that stage in the pattern, and cover this showing that you need to knit each row! Hope that helps, Lisa x

    I got sherbert bought for me and I have loved making her. The videos are brilliant and so easy to follow. • @weewoollywonderfuls
      @weewoollywonderfuls 6 місяців тому

      We don't have tutorials for the full unicorn, as it isn't one of our complete beginner kits/patterns. If you are new to crochet, we recommend starting with a beginner kit, which are Arthur & Betsy Bunnies, Aimee the Giraffe, Sherbet the Giraffe, Teddy the Bear, or Eli & Ella Elephants, as these have the step by step video tutorials, and you will then be able to make your unicorn! The other option is to watch the Giraffe tutorials, as the unicorn has a similar body shape, so you can learn all of the required stitches etc using those! Hope that helps! bit.ly/WWWGiraffe is the link for the Giraffe playlist. Kind regards, Lisa x

      Hi! We are doing the twisted rib, which is Knit to the back of the loop, followed by a purl, repeated around for the ribbing effect. The Knit to the back of the loop does looks a little like a purl as we do downwards into the back of the stitch, but it a KTBL :-) Hope that helps! Lisa x

      Thanks for the feedback! We show sewing the eye as it happens naturally, often not spot on with every stitch. We can then explain how to do it, and show that it often takes an attempt or 2 to make it perfect :-) It's also tricky working with a camera, and sewing at the same time. As a small family business giving free tutorials, we are passionate about helping people learn to crochet and sew features, and hope you found the tutorial helpful.

    Hi I think I’ve misunderstood this as I’ve got to number 6, 4,dc and the edge is all wavy, I’m doing one dc in four stitches in four stitches, then 4,dc in one stitch?

    • @weewoollywonderfuls
      @weewoollywonderfuls 7 місяців тому

      Hi Zoe! It shouldn't be wavy, so you are doing too many increases. It should be DC, DC, DC, DC (so one DC in each of 4 stitches) and then an Increase, which is 2 DC stitches in one stitch. So, in the 5 stitches you're working in, you're doing 6 stitches. A good tip is to always count your stitches at the end of the round (the V shapes around the top) to make sure you're on track! Hope that helps, Lisa x

    • @weewoollywonderfuls
      @weewoollywonderfuls 8 місяців тому

      It is tricky to start with. Tips: make sure you don't spilt the yarn as you work, as then it becomes caught and won't pull through. Also watch the video closely, a lot of people make the mistake of pulling the strand's end first - don't! Make sure you grip the base firmly, then pull one of the two loops (one will pull, the other won't) to make it into one big loop, then pull the strand end! If all else fails we have an easier cheat version, so try that! Bit.ly/WWWCheatMC

    • @weewoollywonderfuls

      We have a video showing Teddy's arms being sewn on, link below! The biggest trick is stuff the hand quite firmly, the arm lightly, and to NOT stuff the top 2-3cm of the arm, this really helps them to lie flat, and not stick out! Hope that helps! I have tried a dozen or more times to create the magic circle and it just will not pull through the second loop. I am normally a person who learns this sort of thing very easily so I am so frustrated by my failure to complete this basic starting point. HELP!!!

    • @weewoollywonderfuls
      @weewoollywonderfuls Рік тому

      Hi Lesley, the Magic Circle is the most difficult part! If it's not pulling through the 2 most common reasons are: 1.When you're pulling the yarn through on your hook, it could be splitting and if some if caught it will prevent it pulling through. 2. Often people pull the end of the yarn first, leaving a large loop which will then not pull through. You must hold the base firmly, and then pull one loop larger by pulling the loop that will move. When the loop has closed, next pull the end of the yarn and your circle will close. If you still struggle, we have an easier cheat version, still works perfectly, it's just not quite as neat. Try this method: bit.ly/WWWCheatMC This should solve the problem, but any more questions, do ask, we want to get your crocheting! Why am I crocheting inside out? Both the legs and arms I’ve had to turn after I’ve finished, but not sure how to change what I’m doing?

    • @weewoollywonderfuls
      @weewoollywonderfuls Рік тому

      Hi! It could be that you're either inserting your crochet hook from the inside of your work to the outside, instead of from the outside to the inside. Or that you're working anticlockwise instead of clockwise (which can often happen if you're left handed). Check if it's either of these. It's no problem to flip at the end, it can only be tricky if it's a small tube shape you're working on. If you're still struggling to see why it's inside out, you can video a short clip of you crocheting and email it to weewoollywonderfuls@outlook.com and we'll have a look! Lisa x

      Thank you so much, Yes, I think i am inserting my crochet hook from the inside! Was quite difficult to turn the arm the right way afterwards 😂let’s see what I can do with the second arm. Thanks again, much appreciated.

      The hardest part if the magic circle. It takes some practice, but you will get it, and then the rest is easier. Most of the Giraffe uses the same stitch :-) If you struggle with it, check out our video tutorial for the Cheat Magic Circle, it's a simpler way that will get you started!

      @@weewoollywonderfuls I just keep making big knots and loops

    • @weewoollywonderfuls
      @weewoollywonderfuls Рік тому

      @@Ryxn.h Take it slowly, and make sure you follow each stage carefully. Also be careful not to split the yarn as you work, make sure you get the full strand on your hook, as if part gets caught it can stop it pulling through later. Try the easier 'cheat' version. It does look quite as neat, but it will help get you started! Heres the link to the video: ua-cam.com/video/H02yYGExUKM/v-deo.html

      @Ryxn.h the above link is for the Cheat Magic Circle. Here's the link to the Giraffe Videos, they are designed to accompany our Giraffe Kit or the pattern, so you will need either of those. If you need a link for those items, let me know! The kit contains everything you need, or the pattern is just a few pounds 😀 Bit.ly/WWWGiraffe

      The pattern is just for the Eart Day Polar Bear and World, sadly we dont have one for a topper. If you search online hopefully you should be able to find one :-)
