Never, EVER use equity in your home to pay off debt. You'll deeply regret it later. Spend less or pick up another job. Bad idea.

Going from W2 to 1099 is the problem as I am finding out. Even if it's switching industries and getting a higher-paying job as a w2, it's still not considered as safe as two straight years of w2 in the same industry.

Mortgage credit reports are different than personal reports or car loan reports. Most mortgage companies have services they can provide that work directly with the credit bureaus. Was thinking the housing sales stagnation was possibly from the interest rates and the unknown election results. My house has been on the market for three months and hardly anyone has come to look at it, eventhough we've dropped the price several times. Turns out that's happening to ALL of the housing market.
Housing are on the market longer due to several reasons. One of the reasons buyers have been giving us is the election. Others are rates and insurances which are affordability issues

I've had intimacy forced, physical barricading, stalking in home and car, coercive control with items broken around me, glass all around my bloody feet, 7 lamps busted, 2 doors physically busted thru to get to me. Road rage, almost hit by his car with witnesses, murder threats, arms twisted, phones grabbed from hand, face scratched, daily false accusations of affairs, emotional incest with our only child, bags grabbed off shoulder, my closet dumped and ransacked weekly, financial abuse, tampering with my job and coworkers, air taken outta tires to keep me from leaving, battery disconnected on car, all because I dared to refuse intimacy. Ive had forced relations while asleep, filming me without consent. My advocate recommended witness protection! Poor poor women suffer and especially if the abuser is smart enough to not leave a mark, because of STUPID comments like that. Domestic violence victims don't often represent themselves well in court. They are sleep deprived, adrenalin brained, memory impaired people. It's DEVASTATING. Ive had restraining orders before. Just look up his record! Now that im brave enough to leave the marriage I can't get help to get him out of my house. I'm a professional and my choices are to leave the home that's in my name that ive solely paid for, my mortgage, my deed, my equity and live in my car so the abuser can remain because of uninformed comments from men like you that lead to a culture of victim blaming. People who have absolutely NO IDEA what it's like to be rocking in a dark closet, SCARED TO DEATH because one sound could get you killed and you have to leave your home with no shoes and pajamas on because you fear for your life. And when you do, he calls cops and says "I'm so worried. I need a wellness check." So the cops figuratively drag you back home while he looks calm and cool and you look nuts, wild eyed and half dressed. You've learned police do absolutely NOTHING. Its a LIVING NIGHTMARE. It took me YEARS to be brave enough to try to get help just to have people not believe. I wish those people would give the benefit of doubt and keep their mouth shut for the benefit of the ONE SINGLE WOMAN WHO REALLY NEEDS HELP. So she might get it and actually think she might be believed and helped, instead of victimized, traumatized and gaslit all over again by the courts. The judge evidently refuses to accept domestic violence is much broader than a black eye, as even stated in the law. Yet they won't enforce it. The violence only amped up after I was denied. It has been HELL.
