Wow! Trick Propane Honda EU 2200 into running Mach 15K AC; no SoftStart/EasyStart?

Current is a major factor, and by using a 50 AMP cable with adapters, I was able to get it to run a 15K btu AC unit on PROPANE without issue consistently. I think it is wise to use an Easy Start or Soft Start device anyhow, but this is an experiment. I've seen a video showing it run a window AC but not a Mach 15 Roof AC and I wanted to know. It definitely would "fault" with a 30 amp cable. The ...

2021 RAM 1500 Adaptive Cruise Survival Strategy in Fog
Переглядів 4222 роки тому
It is always preferable to stop and go to sleep if you run into fog, as driving in it is dangerous. That being said, in situations where you are in a very rural area with no rest areas or turn offs, a smart strategy is to drive slowly and turn on your Adaptive Cruise. RADAR sees through fog, and the Adaptive Cruise can at least see obstacles ahead and slow you down. The fog is significantly wor...

COUNTERINTUITIVE SMARTPHONE TRICK: WIFI signal appears strong, but connection's "wonky". Why?
Переглядів 792 роки тому
What happens when your WIFI connection looks great, but your phone does not allow you to connect to important websites? It is because the Cellular connection is relying on the WIFI connection to handle the transfer of data. Just because the WIFI signal appears strong, it doesn't mean it is actually connected to the internet on the other side. Solution? Turn off WIFI on your phone!

Some open-cell EPE foam is probably better for use filling the window gap. This kind of foam is a closed-cell product commonly used in custom-cut packing materials.

Forrest air could have jump started and led the heat pump revolution. Quiet, user uninstallable, removable, cheap operating, efficient heat pumps. It would have been perfect for seniors, fixed income, RVs, boats, cottages, spare room, even DC solar operation potential. But they effectively sabotaged their brand and the concept by cutting every corner. They rushed this out the door half baked. Great idea, terrible implementation. To be fair a lot of user complaints were from ignorant mishandling- bending hoses too much, not understanding drip tray, unrealistic expectations. This should have been squarely addressed by excellent documentation to educate the user. Big mistake, and a surprisingly obvious one.

I have a Freecom RCS S3000t that as far as i can determine is no longer available in North America.....I would buy another in a heart beat....it is a 12500 btu and currently blows 41deg when cooling. I have had the unit for 20 years and purchased from a local hardware store in Canada. I have been searching for a possible replacement when and if this no longer works. Pretty discouraged in my search efforts. You didn't mention whether the cooling issue on the Forestair is a temperature problem or a volume issue. Just curious.

Well you are doing it all wrong. Calibration is every 100 feet forward and turn to the directions it is telling you to go. You have to be the one to put the input in to this. You are still steering the trailer no matter what you are doing. It has to see the trailer so no very low light or to bright of a light. If you still do not know go to Ram trailer steering here on YOU TUBE.

Thanks for ur insights of this 120vac split system. In Australia we use 240vac for single phase (3ph is 415vac). I have a 2.5kw inverter type reverse cycle split a/con in a 40’ bus with a 24vdc system, 2kw pv (so far), 2 x 24v 5kw lifepo4 batteries and a MPP 3kw AIO 240vac Inverter system and a few extra capacitors, while I am still working on expansions to this system slowly, it does all work great so far, the split A/C is very quiet, super hot & cold quickly and uses about 1600w (max on turbo mode) for 10 mins maybe before slowly ramping down to 300-800w in the next 20-30 minutes, this is total watts with inverter losses included. I can highly recommend anyone considering Aircon in van/rv’s etc, to consider a 24v or 48v (is Better) system and an inverter type aircon, preferably using a propane based refrigerant like R32 for better efficiencies. Household splits are easily available in a pinch, relatively cheap for what u get and installed properly they do work well, quiet & efficiently & mounted solidly to the rear takes a little weight of ur tow hitch too, make sure the piping is done properly with considerations for vibration, with maybe a pigtail loop or a section of flexible piping is good also. I also have a 5kw inverter split with 2 heads I have to Re-gas, but it did not use much power when on 240vac, so i am keen to give it a go soon on the dc setup, the 2 heads are coupled together to work synchronically, but can change the amount of heat & cool to each room by closing or adjusting one vent or the other, so it will ramp right down when only keeping the bedroom area cool at night, or will increase cooling ability in the kitchen/lounge area during the day by adjusting the bedroom vents or fan speed down. Cheers
