Not to sound harsh but you should not be servicing your regulator if you need instructions from youtube. It's not something you can just do and hope for the best ;)

@@spoolin001It might seem like simple maintenance but you are talking about something that keeps you breathing under water. If you do shallow recreational diving "maybe" but this particular Poseidon regulator is VERY touchy, if you as much as bend the pin that activates it or use the wrong lube/polishing agent it can cause failure or a free flow or excessive required pressure to get air causing increased Narcosis at depth etz etz. Just too many things that can go wrong. Be smart and don't tinker with your life support. Especially this one I own two of them. Or get something more DIY friendly.

@@nickdawn3985 Well it is just simple maintenance if a modicum of skill and aptitude is applied, which is what I assume @loveengelbrecht was thinking as well. Not everyone can do that, but thousands of divers who service their own regs seem able to do so successfully. You can get a poorly done reg at a dive shop as well. I had one that free-flowed violently as soon as pressurized, due to a crushed internal part that was put in wrong, so the shop obviously didn't even do the most basic check after assembly - odd practice for a diaphragm reg that needs the IP adjusted after disassembly. Big name long-time local shop. If you might likely die because of an equipment problem, you should be using redundancy, or re-thinking your diving. Scuba for most people isn't like that, and for many, having control and knowledge over their equipment is both part of the enjoyment, and prudent. It's a kind of conceit among a lot of divers, and goes hand in hand with their disdain for the poor service they often see from the shop.
