Gukesh vs Gri : Is History Going To Repeat Itself?
This tiebreaker is what helped the winner go through, a well deserved winner who has one last obstacle to face before he is crowned 'the new world champion'. The game went into the Neo Grunfeld, an opening Gukesh and Giri tried before but this one took a twist.

Is this the most complex Chess game ever played?
Переглядів 2045 місяців тому
There are too many complexities in any chess game and this is specifically true as the game gets longer and longer. If you have any game you think that might qualify as being the most complex of them all, please let us have it so that we can feature it. This was a game played where no humans can ever comprehend. it was a Premier League game between the two leading engines of the time; Houdini v...
Wesley So’s worst nightmare simply came out of nowhere
Переглядів 375 місяців тому
Wesley so is a superb player who needs not prove anything to anyone but himself. When he came across the likes of Denis, he turned out to be one tough cookie to crack. This is one game the 2 played but with Lazavik being way too much even for Wesley So, this serves to note the following. Denis Lazavik is here to stay and only time will tell how much stronger is bound to get.
Kasparov superior all throughout pays the ultimate prize against Mikhail Tal In their very last game
Переглядів 2995 місяців тому
This was the very last game played between 2 chess giants. Kasparov had Tal exactly where he wanted but in the end, he was the one who paid dearly in an otherwise won game. This is what happened here.
Paul Morphy down a Bishop & 2 Pawns in Opening & still finds the checkmate of the day!
Переглядів 4285 місяців тому
Paul Moprhy was a true and gifted genius. His openings were near perfect, he was extremely sharp, but even those who managed to get in a decent game, when it came to the endgame, they all went down one by one. In this game we saw, the double gambit accelerated in the 2 knights variation in the Italian and was the one sharp opening only the very few could master.
The Russian Opening and ow Karel Traxler treated it against Beck

This is another Karel Traxler game using the Modern Russian against his opponent Beck. Whatever happened in the game, the ending was simply spectacular.
Traxler shows the entire world the craziest Queen Sacrifice of all Time
Переглядів 1,2 тис.5 місяців тому
This has to be the the world's craziest queen sacririce in the history of the game. Reinisch was up against Traxler, a Traxler who deeply knew how to take risks when using his favourite opening. In the end his tactic work but for anyone who is not familiar with this game, by all means get to know it.
Tal’s unbelievable Queen sacrifice leaves Kasparov absolutely gobsmacked
Переглядів 147 тис.5 місяців тому
Game 2 of 12 in Georgia between the two chess legends Garry Kasparov and Mikhail Tal, produced the game of the match. Everything appeared to have been going Kasparov’s way but it wasn’t until Tal dropped a bombshell to devastate and leave Kasparov gobsmacked.
Fischer vs Tal 1959 - One of Fischer's 25 Most Memorable
Переглядів 3,3 тис.6 місяців тому
This game for the Candidates back in 1959 had deeply touched Bobby Fischer so much that he had to include it in his most memorable ones. Do you know what we are talking about? it's the Sicilian Flank an opening that was tried before but this one came with a weird twist.
FIDE Grand Swiss Women 2023 Roebers vs Danielian & The Biggest Queen Sacrifice of the Tournament
Переглядів 229Рік тому
One more tournament is behind us but the game of round 10 between Eline Roebers and Elina Danielian was the one that stood out. Though neither female had any real success in this Grand Swiss encounter, Roebers with the white pieces went up against the Austrian Yugoslav defence in the Pirc and though the game got interested as it progressed, it all came down on move 28 when Danielian got Roeber’...
Stockfish’s Mate in 99 versus LCZero In The SUFI Season 25 using The Scandinavian Mieses Variation

The Top Chess Engine Championship of season 25 is full of surprises. Stockfish going up against LCzero’s Scandinavian Defence, was finally able to spot the longest possible mate in the entire match. This game was weird and once again it involved its fair share of blunders
Magnus Carlsen Gets Checkmated by an IM In A Shockingly Surprising Encounter

We have seen this happen too many times. The very best players on the planet are losing to much weaker grandmasters but also this is true with some International masters. In this game, the one and only Magnus Carlsen playing with the white pieces in a game Mykola played previously, the modern variation of the Alekhine appeared, and though Magnus believed to have stood much better, not only Magn...
Bobby Fischer’s Very Last Chess Game
Переглядів 177Рік тому
If this was Bobby Fischer, then the genius of Chess had returned to show everyone that he was the inventor of everything. Fischer devised the 960 and had concurred every single chess opening. In this game, who many said it was his last, he never fails to demonstrate, that even with his long absence from the game, he was a true master of Chess.
Stockfish Appears in Trouble Against A Lower Rated Engine But Could It Find Its Way Out Of This One?
Переглядів 36Рік тому
This is the game between Rubichess and leader of the pack Stockfish in a very unusual king’s Gambit Accepted line in the Premier League of the Top Chess Engine Champions of Season 25. There is plenty to learn from this game and with both engines going it all out, in the end it could only be one winner.
First Contact! Geller vs Euwe And That Incredible Crazy Rook Offer
Переглядів 65Рік тому
Classics never die. This first encounter between two incredibly strong chess players had produced the game of the day in the Candidates of 1953. Euwe always surprised everyone and sometimes himself too. Having tried the usual, he found himself squeezed in, and even with all the shots he was receiving from Geller, he still had some nice and powerful ways of answering.

Short vs Fischer And The Birth Of The Bongcloud Chess Opening - Game 1/8
Great game but I feel asleep listening to the monotonous, droning AI voice. Oh well, there are other chess sites to view.
Kasparov vs who in what year and what tournament?
You talk too much
Awful AI voice. Feeling tricked into watching because of the click-bait title. Awful.
Tough fight. Good analysis. Voice?
is this voice AI? I couldn't finish the video
I'm really sorry. It has no effect on me.😊
The Magician from Riga - Mikail Tal
Mikhails Tals rocks...^^
Just incredible play from Tal coming up with such a clever way to win this game definitely very Magical a signature game of Tal Mikhail legendary
cigarette?...
Thanks!
Tal is the natural genius!!!
Very hissy microphone. Get it sorted.
The microphone very hissy?... Nope!... Some people are too sissy!
And mind you, we start out by saying that we are not going to go into a lot of blather. And mind you, that is what we subsequently do. And after the second, 'And mind you,' I stopped watching.
Written by AI.
As Tal himself once said : "You must take your opponent into a deep dark forest where 2+2=5"
Very deep.
A little less conversation and more action
You do stupid scenarios you machine.. Let us see what they've done...
Tal is truly a legend one of the all time greats
I never understand Tal. He is a magician.
A chess GM in fact.
"Resulting to"???
He lost me at "blitz". *Blitz* is not chess.
Of course it is. It's fast time control chess. At least it's not bullet, which is just chaos.
@@aaronbarlow4376 Two hours 30 minutes for 40 moves - One hour for the next 20 moves - 45 minutes Sudden Death using the Fischer Time Clock is real chess. Speed, blitz etc. is chess junk food for those with short attention spans.
@@Bob31415blitz games do help if you keep in mind endgame scenarios in classical chess.
Who was winning between two ultimate genius?
Tal, genius!
May His Saucy Noodliness, The Flying Spaghetti Monster bless you too.
This is a joke, bad comments and no video of the event.
It's always disappointing when a picture of two players at the chessboard is shown, but no live action is shown. A form of clickbait i suppose.
To much talking!
'Too'. And he's describing what was happening for fans who may not be aware of the nuances.
Missed 15. Nd5!!
Which pawn, which pawn, and which pawn again? Chess is hard enough without trying to decipher which pieces the commentary is supposedly talking about. Crap! Crap, and utter crap! And I'm talking about this video.
Very confusing
Crappiest commentary ever
Its an AI commentary
So confusing
Gruesome English - interesting game though
The English resulted 'to' me quitting halfway through.
all the what ifing and lack of flow in what happened ruins the video.
The piece set looks fugly
"There are sacrifices, and there are mines!" GM M. Tal.
"The winner is the one that makes the second to the last mistake."
S. Tartakover.
kasparov siempre tuvo cara de viejo
Are you sure this was played in 1978. Was it not in 1980 81, where kasparov won 6 games tal 2 and remaining draws. Some one need to verify this.
its a blitzgame!
@@henriksylvestolsen4885 So what, the question asked was when the game was played.
Yup, can't finish this with the robot narration.
Me, neither. When I see a new chess site, I automatically subscribe, but I stopped listening to the video and unsubbed after the 4 minutes of torture.
not just the TTS 'narration' but the ridiculous grammar. Eg. "resulted _to._ " And its the same over and over again.
Agreed this is garbage. Enough down votes maybe will banish it
You're a piece up against Tal means you are finished! BruTAL.
This video should be half long
Just increase the playback speed.
Robo voices are quite annoying.
Yeah, I can't watch it. :\ Unfortunate, I dig the content.
Same
I muted.
Believe it or not I actually like the AI voice and straightforward commentary. I've gotten tired of Epic chess and Gotham chess with their boring memes and try-too-hard jokes.
Gotham Chess ..what a drag....
Never heard of agmatatdor?
@@harrygregg9551 Sure, I've heard of Agadmator, but I got tired of him too. I like Chessbrahs, and also Daniel Naroditsky - these are the ones I watch the most.
@@modolief Daniel Naroditsky and Chessbrah rule!
Now come on, no matter how many times your hear stocksquid, stockbarnacle and prawn to sea ships it just never gets old
This droning 'AI' voice can make even a Tal game boring. Quite an achievement. I guess.
Thanks for the comments. We don't need an A.I. though, it comes across as too cold and robotic. GO CRAMLING!!
Very playful!!!
Talking too much, matey. Just show the game.
use standard grafic, that can no one read there play chess
Before even watching this video, I need to say that I've never studied moves in particular because creating specific moves seemed useless if the other guy was aware of what you were trying to do! I always played a reactionary game without having a clue as to the outcome and was half-assed at it in my day. I played for attrition, but always paid attention to the risks down the road. I didn't win always, but I was the best player in my unit! It seems to me that standing on the shoulders of giants is not really fairly in a 'sport' like one. I personally think that if I took it seriously enough, I could whip anyone without a lesson! Of course, that's me and I'm mildly drunk! ;-) I can easily tell you this! Fischer would have never rattled me in Iceland! I might have lost, but not because of his stupid shenanigans!
beautiful game
Blindfolded??? Simultaneous??? Born ahead of his time is right.
