I used to be freaked out because they always reminded me of Godzilla rats ... Now I have a huge appreciation for them ... They actually go around eating tons of annoying insects and fallen fruits .... plus they are super stoic and just basically respectfully and quietly walk right by you at night ... Now I get very sad when I see them dead on the roads

Did he make it through the night? 😢 I'm surprised he didn't pass out. I have a few that come up to my back porch over the years. Usually they are very afraid. I've had a few that would let me sit near them while they eat. One I think was blind, he's the only one that let me hand feed him. I don't befriend them because I worry about other humans harming them but I have been observing them over the years and absolutely in love with these little creatures. 💕

Is there a way people like me can take in rescues that cant be released or do that have to go to a sanctuary? My dream is to have a sanctuary. I would love to learn how to take care and take in rescue animals like that opossum. ❤🥺
