DSLR is closer to film photography 😮!
think outside the box, direct flash can be beautiful if you know how to use it!
I enjoyed the authentic conversation! I’m positive so many can relate, I know I did. 👏🏼👍🏼👍🏼 I always value hey Mike, pro-tip’s, so much value that you share.. also, Andrew is pretty darn good at his comedic reels, always so relatable, 😆 it’s good you kept going! I’m inspired to keep going as well … Tysm!! 👏🏼🙌🏼🫶🏼
Dude, absolute pleasure to be a part of this and I'm very honoured to call you a friend.
pretty cool that 2 wedding photographers that I randomly followed had a podcast... One in Aus the other in the UK and me listening from South Africa
Crazy how the internet can bring people together!! Thanks so much for following and I hope you enjoyed the episode :)
Follow you both in IG 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Thank you! That's amazing. Hope you enjoyed this conversation!
I was waiting for the lighter moment, why cut it out? 😢😂 Andrew is such a sympathetic guy, his videos made me decide to become a professional photographer after photographing for 20 years as a hobby. I saw that we are so similar somehow. And if someone so similar to me is happy doing that profession, I think this might be right for me as well. + your humor helps as well to not take everything so serious. Many years ago I worked at a photography store with mostly photographers as customers. And this was like a block in my way because I don't wanted to become one of "them", I met many bad examples. You two are showing me such positive examples of photographers, that something in me is healed. Thanks to both of you! And what an inspiring podcast episode! Many things you shared reminded me a lot of rick rubin's book "the creative act", which also helped me a lot getting my joy for photography back.
Andrew is incredible and honestly he inspires me as well. He is so genuine and his sense of humour through the dark times is incredible. Honoured to have shared the screen with him for this one and I am so glad you enjoyed the conversation. Plus well done for taking up Wedding Photography as a career. It is so fun and rewarding but unfortunately not enough of us introverts share our experience because um we're too introverted hahaha. Hopefully this conversation helps!
Thank you both for your open words and being so authentic and inspiring. I enjoyed very much watching this!
Thank you so much!!! I am so glad you enjoyed this episode. Andrew is amazing and I am honoured that he jumped on and shared so openly!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hey Mike, love that you’re doing these style of podcasts/videos. 👌 keep it up
Very cool tips! 😮
Thanks a lot to both of you! I found it super interesting to hear about doing various photography fields instead of focussing on one area only.
Its like 4k games, its not a big enough thing for the average player to notice it constantly, only time id like a 4k game is when im playing a detective type game where details matter
Curious to see youe setup for recording tiktok videos and youtube
What a great character enjoyed 😂that one
I use "back button focus" and it's more natural to use when using the viewfinder instead of the lcd. It's easy and simple to learn/use
❤🎉
Situations Over Settings! 👌🏾
Great episode! I couldn't imagine doing family photography, sounds horrible lol
Loved watching this! Looking forward to seeing more podcasts!
Another tip is to think, "where are we, how did we get here, and who's the subject?"
I am your silent supporter but now i can say that very informative for the beginner
amazing vid mate
Thank you bro
Thanls a bunch! This was helpful!
Amazing high quality vids!
im not even a photographer but these tips are also used in composition in drawing and painting. Very helpful and cool to see how the same principles carry out to other mediums.
You press the shutter button with your thumb? Demonic behavior lol
No one wants to be distracted by a flash blinking during the candle light reception. The correct answer are f/1.2 or 1.4 primes and careful work with the shutter speed just above the point if freezing people movements.
Great info!!
You definitely deserve more subs
Great tip! 👍
❤
Never trust a photographer that talks to himself. lol
U need a professional youtube thumbnail designer and video SEO experts?
Keep up the great work Mike! You’re killing it with the useful content!
Bruh. "Why did i lose at chess?" "Because of xyz" "oh yea that makes sense" This guy: "my secrets!!!!!! How DARE you ask me"
Probably the biggest issue that kept me from starting this years ago!! Loved photography but never thought I would ever compare to those established. Now I just do my thing, I screw some up, I make some perfect to me, and that's ok. I love learning from those that I never thought I'd compare to. Kick myself every day for letting it get to me! LOL
as a designer who works along side with marketing brand manager...i love marketing!
"Now how do I make the videographer not hate me for using flash?"
Not onky videographer but all people in the room... Never flash during those delicate moments.
While I do feel like example photos would be a nice touch to step up the quality of the short I also think you explained everything well enough so that I, despite not having a camera besides a phone, could tell what you meant. Great short
Or Or Or... Use AI, and dont EVER get Married. Bad deal for Men.
No, please, don't show any examples. This is just fine.
Bro we don’t know what are you talking about without photos
i do?
Bro you have great room and camera
NICE TIPS MIKE. NEXT TIME PLEASE ATTACH SOME EXAMPLE PHOTOS TOO
Exactly what I was here to say.
If ur cutting people out for making a joke about pronouns you aren't being as inclusive as you think you are.
I had several legacy lenses from the 70s I could use with my Sony camera and my favorites were the 50 1.8 and 50 1.4, extremely sharp lenses
Wow, didn't know this
