How do you change the curtains, it seems like you would have to unscrew the pipe. What if you cut off the top of the T intersection and the other hanger so the pipe lays there and can be lifted out?

I had a similar issue but my sensors were aligned properly.

This tutorial is perfect, concise, and well presented, thank you! I like that you showed how the simple version and the divided version flow. One thing I've tried is sewing in thick straps of fabric to the ends so I can tie it around a sore limb, works great!

It could be that your sensor is pointed at the ground and not aligned properly.

Try aiming the sensor correctly

Lube the screws in the rail too

Those T-nuts will not work how you are hoping. As an easy fix i'd clamp it in place like you did and screw them together with a long deck screw or maybe even lag bolt through the existing holes. If you have a long enough bit i would suggest predrilling them too just to be sure you dont crack the leg. Hope the project goes well!

that'll work only if they on the outside so it doesn't pull out,..

T nuts will not work. You need a wood insert nut.
