I put this up a little while back. It's Hard to record yourself and play with cats. They like to knock the camera down. So I cheated. It's become one of my favorite songs. I knew the song, heard it sang on The Nanny, but didn't really KNOW it till it showed up a day or two in my music after my cat Harvey died. For those of you that don't know Harvey, she was a very close cat that chose me from ...

All the Things you are 3/22 Theater Organ
I would love to play this beautiful organ.
Hey Sir, is this instrument still available??
That piano’s tail is huge! Great playing. I wish I had an organ like that.
Ah. Sounds like an analog organ..ah..I meant Rodger’s.
Del 92 al 2000 pegamento rojo derramado.. gran dedicacion para limpiar esas teclas.
beautiful percus 2/3 i see
Not many of these left now 😂
you play beautifully, my dream is to get an organ like this, I'm from Brazil, it's hard to find it here and it's very expensive, I'm teaching myself to play the organ
Thanks for the demonstration. We just picked up an MX-2 and are looking forward to learning on it. I noticed you hav the owners manual. Do you know if those are available to purchase or download somewhere? Thanks again. Wendell R Utah
J'ai eu le célébration après je suis passé au MX1 pour finir avec un Yamaha FS70
Very Good .... But I am Not a fan of the Rotosonic Leslie Sound ... it's just short of an auto wah -wah pedal when in tremolo ... I've never heard of this model ? When was it produced?
The Lowrey was the ancestor of what we know today as the "arranger workstations" like the Yamaha PSR, Korg PA, and Casio CTK
Ladies and Gentlemen: tonight only BOBBY SWINGLEY for your listening and dancing pleasure....
I’m colour blind, and this thing hurts even my eyes. Possibly the ugliest organ I’ve ever seen.
Das Piano klingt auf der ollen Orgel aber erstaunlich gut.

I am thinking of opening up a nice restaurant south of Dayton somewhere. Classy joint that will need a good lounge organist. BOBBY SWINGLEY at the organ. We'll pack'em in. What do you say?😁
Even after all these years the C500 still sounds great
Lowrey makes a fine organ no matter the model.
Where are you located? Do you sell your organs? Please let me know more info.
Kind of a New Orleans approach to 5'2". Nice thanks. Hearing the MX-2 electronic trem makes me a bit sad. Imagine if this organ had a couple 740s or something hitched to it? I view it as the first Kawai. Much less a Lowrey than the MX-1. Just my opinion. Not hating, just not as fond
Always come back to this video every once in a while, sounds amazing! 🎵
Thats a beautiful instrument.
Hes a grest player !!
DONT KNOW WHERE YOUR AT BUT IT LOOKS LIKE HEAVEN TO ME ! ANOTHER GREAT TUNE YOU HAVE GIVEN US THANK YOU!
We're located in Cincinnati, Ohio. We do restorations of Pianos, Organs, both electronic and Pipe. Our team has worked on some very famous instruments and our Artists are pretty darn good!
@@fixmyantique5729 Do you keep all the organs? My friend, who has been gone sometime Leon Berry and his wife Mildred had a nice home in Park Ridge Illinois with a pipe organ Leon installed in the basement. I have always loved organs but have never been smart enough to be able to comprehend lessons. Your place looks like heaven and I love listening to the very talented guy who plays in the videos he is great. Anyway really enjoyed seeing and listening keep it up. Jeff
Another beauty....just great...must be great to be that talented!
I dont quite understand aee you collecting all those beautiful organs or are you redtoring them or selling them?
Great !!
Great player, you must be in heaven getting to play all those organs, just great.
Its all loud. No real expression
I Remember You! Great song. Good job on your version. Love Nat Cole’s version with an arrangement by Ralph Carmichael. Was this organ owned at one time by someone in Chicago?
Yes, it used to be Robert Benson's Organ before he died and it was purchased by a friend of mine, Jim McCormik. Jim gave it to me a few years ago and it's gone over a little overhaul (and will be again soon).
Great jamming! Super clean and great pedal work.
And wait for it, a cameo by Mr. Man the cat adding a bit of class to an already classy performance.
Where did you get that marvelous instrument. ?
thats such a cool piano! which song is that?
The name of the song is "Shadow of your Smile" expertly played by Bobby on a Technics SX-FN3
Who is this gentleman, he played extremely well.
This is Bobby Swingley. He's an extremely good artist and close friend.
I was working at the Lowrey factory in Chicago as a supervisor of final test. I had the privilege of checking out the prototype of this model. This instrument is only limited by the imagination of the organist.
That's awesome! I am amazed every time Bobby sits at one of these instruments. I can't wait to share more!!!
I should add another comment. It was back in 1977 I believe: I visited a CONN dealer who also sold RODGERS. Well, in the back (rather hidden) were stashed some RODGERS, including the 333. Hm...why not set at this. I mean: I am a player...and a potential customer (well...not to the tune of 28K for a 333). I did the usual few stops each manual, but my interest was especially drawn to the SAX and tib on the solo. Hm....lets see. WOW!! That combo sounded like the Santa Clara Capn's galley!! I was really impressed. And indeed I heard that characteristic RODGERS trem SHAKE...to me, this has always been kinda hoaky really. Well...I soon got off that con cuz some sales minion came to bug me...like I was gonna break the stupid thing. She was anxious just to set for lack of better things to do...and a personal desire to do HER thing (forget about time waster me). The sales folks at that dearler were SHARKS. HUNGRY SHARKS. Big turn off of course. .....I have marveled ever since about the old RODGER. Now I have the 340...ho hum. Not a biggie. 'Cant wait to play' never happens on these...in view of my library of PARAMOUNT VTPO organs. BUT..ALL THE ANALOG ORGANS ARE TIME MACHINES...WHETHER LARGE OR SMALL. And I've sat at many...having to extract lots of sound as required for that GIG. ITs NOT about sounding so good (these analogs)..its just THE MEMORIES!! THUS; TIME MACHINES.....iN MY OPINION.
This one would really benefit from a Leslie for the tibias. That's how I have my Rodgers hooked up and the difference is incredible. No more sea-sick electronic vibrato.
These organs did have both analog tremulants and vibratos on separate tabs, it sounds like both are engaged. If the vibratos aren't used the analog tremulants can sound fantastic when voiced. The only drawback to a Leslie on a Rodgers is the time it takes to speed up and slow down when turned on and off.
The Leslie's in the rodgers theater organs was a big mistake it isn't a Hammond nor does it sound like one with it .....should be removed and channeled better with other rodgers speakers NOT A LESLIE
Very well played. Lowreys look and sound great.
Thanks Andy. Bobby is a pretty good Artist. :) He watches these comments and appreciates the positive feedback and comments.
Wow! You found a big console to build your Artisan in. I have been playing Artisan/Hauptwerk for the last 12 years on a 2 manual Marr & Colton console. I can put out some great music on it, but only wired 4 presets off the upper pedals and never understood how to get the stopkeys working. I bought two more Artisan 64 boards but don't know how to program them. I had a 10 rank mostly Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ for 22 years and played it almost every night. I lost the organ in a house fire. It looks like you have a really nice installation. I'll check out your channel.
This organ is used at Yankee Stadium 3 built in 2009 and sound great paul cartier uses it
You know: Its amazing to think these Rodgers were the cats meow of analog in their day....better by far than ALLEN analog theater organs. But think about this: their sound is ....well so not comparable to digital anything these days. it shows how much the digital recording technology and DAC has totally revolutionized these organs. NO COMPARISON!! But this is not to slam the analog units...by no means. I have both high end Rodgers and a custom 5 manual digital VTPO so i know wherefore i speak. I also am a professional organist pianist by avocation and have played many pipe organs in pizza parlors through the years. Thank you SIR for this presentation!! VERY enlightening. A time machine!!
Hi Dave! Thanks for the comment. This instrument is currently in the works on being voiced by two guys that worked on a few pizza parlor organs! It may be a small world, we may know each other. :) Keep watching for the final product. This was an early video, we'll have one up later when the shop is completed and the organ is completely voiced in the space.
It's almost as if Dennis Houlihan is waving a conductor's wand nearby ;) Interesting too the Lowrey is squeezed between two Hammond organs?
Unfortunately at that time we were limited on space and had a LOT of instruments. Our inventory has gone down a bit now. We hope to have more videos up soon of new instruments.
enjoy I saw this piano in a city in China, where it is quite uncommon
I worked at the Lowrey factory in Chicago when this model came out. I was a supervisor in final test and I was privileged to test the protege. I was not the most popular person at the factory because I found a multitude of minor problems here and there. I have to say that all in all and dollar for dollar it was and is a wonderful organ and I was glad to have been a part of it.
Please, can someone tell me what model is the instrument at his side?
Lowery C300.
@@fixmyantique5729 Thank You
I hear the Leslie is also affecting the drums in some ways...
What is the loudspeaker compliment of this instrument. It looks like there are two Allen choir monitors up above, a couple Conn organ pipe loudspeakers. On the right side are those Klipsch La Scala's or are they Walker?
The LaScalas go to another organ. This organ setup with the Allen speakers and two Rodgers monitors for reverb.
