Fake. Real Iroquois longhouses were made of poured concrete.

  • @william38022

Well I think what we have here is an attempt to make a replica of a long house that will endure many years of tourism to give the people a sense of what it would’ve looked like back then at least on the outside anyway and that’s good that way you don’t have to rebuild it every few years because I imagine the traditional longhouse probably doesn’t last any longer than five or maybe 10 years or so so in regards to that I guess it’s all right however this is not a real true longhouse by no means

  • @stauffap

This has obviously nothing to do with an actual native american longhouse. Don't call it something that it's not.

  • @ourfamilyoutdoors7331

Stick frame construction on a longhouse, lmao. There are other styles of framing which would’ve been appropriate. Who’s buddy got the contract?

This is a wonderful experience not only for the little ones but for the whole family....it's the REAL Santa. Just disappointed that they can't run more groups/times and let everyone who requests tickets, have a chance. Each year some kids miss out due to the "DRAW". There must be a way more volunteers could help out to ensure all (interested) kids get to experience this once a year event.
