This is part 2 of the Sabrent SSD series. We focus on RAID and the device's limit of using 3 disks out of the 4 total in the RAID 5 configuration.
This device can be used in a RAID 1 or RAID 5 configuration using software. I use the built in Storage Spaces of Windows, which may not allow you to move the device to a different system. This is not a primary topic, so please read up on that if you want to move the disks to a different windows system after the Storage Space is configured.

I own one and it's dreadful. The fact it renames drives and the super noisy thin fan. I took the top lid off and put a larger more standard fan on, the blades are now exposed but it's so much quieter.

There's more than this: cooling is terrible
agreed. you can tell that more than 50% of the drive is closed off in the plastic bottom. i'm not sure how the fan would push air since there's a flap that blocks airflow or if you use an actual hdd. i would not use 7200rpm drives in this. i would opt for a more open design like the MAIWO 4 Bay dock.
I bought this before looking into it, otherwise I would’ve used your link, but I wanted ask you if you had any Trouble with your drives overheating before getting it? If so, does this thing do a good job of keeping them cool? I foolishly bought the 8TB Samsung QVO, and even after I drilled holes all over the external case, then keeping it right under one of those 8inch laptop cooling fans (which pulls the air up from that area, and really should’ve been enough) PLUS removing it completely from the external case to make sure no heat could get trapped near it… that thing still overheats and shuts itself off!!! It’s done this 3 times in the past month or two (one time was me being dumb and leaving a PC game on pause all night) I really don’t have the type of cash to be throwing around at SSDs every few months, but I’m more paranoid that it’ll end up either killing the drive, or the heat corrupting files because I haven’t been able to get a backup made yet… and I f you knew how much time/energy was put into my digital hoarding escapades, you’d most likely vomit! It’s probably 2 years worth of not more, and if it goes, then so do I, because I’m not going through that shit again!!!
So far, no major heating issues with this device using PNY SSDs. While using an ssd tool to monitor the temperature of one of the PNY drives, I see it running at 33/91 deg. C/F. Whereas the Adata SSD not in this device is running at 26/79 deg. C/F. Both seem to be running at normal temps and the fan doesn't seem to do much, if anything after running for 20 minutes.
@@cgmanimator I ended up just leaving the 8TB out of the equation because I’m too worried about it messing up the other 3, and so far everything is fine… I forgot to mention one thing about the Samsung 8TB SSD, I didn’t even try it with the sabrent thing, but I have tried hooking it up through a lot of different cables, and a few different external enclosures, but it will only work when I hook it up through some random (I think it was an 80GB) external HDD that broke and I swapped out the broken drive for the Samsung… it seems odd that it doesn’t work through any other means, but have you ever seen anything like this? I suppose now I have to try it through the sabrent to see if it shows up, but not for a while because I just got everything working smoothly.

Yes absolutely! I upgraded from a 10 year old lenovo that took 10 minutes to load UnrealEngine. Now it takes <30 seconds. The same with Premiere. It worked but was slow. The lenovo was upgraded to an SSD and Ram in that 10 year time period, but things are much smoother. 3d mark would not let me save the output for some reason on the new build. I was getting about 30 fps on the new build and getting about 2 fps at any resolution on the old one. I used Unigine Heaven for the new build. Here's a breakdown: Windows 10 Quality High Ryzen 5 5500 x6 @3593MHz (12 threads) Radeon RX550 @ 4095MB 1920x1080 Score: 855 fps: 34.0 min fps: 21.5 max fps: 68.5 1366x768 (native) Score: 1700 fps: 67.5 min fps: 42.7 max fps: 135.2

Sorry for the delayed response. The inside length is 6.5 ft long. However if you mount a vertical rod holder, the sky is the limit.
price for package at bp?
Assuming Bass Pro Shop has the same price model as the mom/pop shop due to the "no haggle" pricing. I just received the 2023 catalog and the base price for the package is &13,995 USD.
my experience with Cabela or Bass Pro shop is they really do not give a crap about the customers, and only double check that they charge you .. the chump.. mark .. sucker.. as much as they can legally get away with... legally. which in m ost states .. is short of beating you and stealing your wallet.

white river was pretty up front with me on the insurance and warranty...I researched the warranty.....well worth it in the long run. In fact, when dealing with the loan, I literally had to sign that I wanted it...so not sure it can be slipped in.
Couple questions: 1. How fast is it with the 20hp? 2. Dose it have power trim, an alternator to charge the battery and electric start?
This is a heavy boat that can hold up to 4 people. Depending on how many passengers and water conditions, you may get 25+ mph out of it. My Efi 20hp elpt motor is an electric key or manual pull start with trim on the motor and throttle. I was not aware of an alternator, but per Mercury it has a 12 amp \ 145watt.

Does anyone know how to turn off or shorten the display time of the tab that comes up on your screen after ending a call ? The God Damned tab that says "call ended" covers the zxcvbnm line of keys and it stays on the screen for a LONG time. I tried changing the screen timeout setting and that didn't work. It's really irritating. When you try to swipe it away to the left, the right or up or down it just won't go away, in fact if you touch it, it seems like it keeps displaying LONGER ! It's driving me crazy.

Well I switched from LG Stylo 5 to the Celero 5g with perfect timing as the Stylo 5 crashed the day before the Celero came in but I use the Celero for all my videos I upload on UA-cam and it runs smooth
I switched from the Stylo 5 to this and I love it the only thing is I only got this phone because the Stylo doest work on the new network

How do I insert the sim card?
There is a hole for the sim and flash card removal tool. You can also use a pushpin or small paperclip if they are small enough.
