Those mutants were melting! I can't wait to get this now
Private Lawson disliked this video.
Tried it myself, noted zero difference in damage between the explosive and non explosive version, although mine is a flamer variant
I started from episode one to here. I'm going to try to finish this entire series while I camp build in 76. So far, these stories have been very enjoyable, and I love them!
I have just had this happen to me don't know why
Two days from White Springs to Emmet Mountain - must be really bad and loaded up with baddies - Just announce you are harvesting (Radiation Rumble) and you will get everybody within earshot. Great stuff keep it up favorite thing to listen to when playing - thank you all
So what? Flaming chainsaw on the joint in the leg?
didnt they patched this?
Love this so much!
Looking great fam and here's to plenty more!
Great show, thank you for all the hard work.
God bless the Enclave, and God bless America! And bless the cast and crew for all their hard work and dedication for an amazing series. Can't wait to see what the future brings!
So I've just finished up the first season of the MODUS Files and overall, it was awesome. Great story, great characters, etc. and I can't wait to watch the other 2 seasons you've made so far. The finale in particular was great, with a really intense battle and actual stakes. I'm honestly surprised the Enclave only lost half of their forces. And the mystery! Can't wait for whatever that is to unfold later on. You and your team made a terrific first season. And really, besides some minor nitpicks, I only have 1 real criticism/issue with the podcast so far. It's Messaging. What I mean, is that throughout Fallout 76, the player is told quite clearly why Appalachia lost to the Scorch Plague. It wasn't because the defeat was inevitable or that victory was just simply impossible. It was because the factions of the region couldn't work together, they lacked unity. The Brotherhood fought a solo war against the Scorched and lost, the Free States and Responders fought their own solo war as well and lost, and the Raiders barely even tried to fight back. Disunity is what killed Appalachia, mistrust doomed the region. And so the answer to winning, the answer to defeating the Scorched is with unity. The factions of Appalachia banding together and fighting the threat head on, together not alone. The Overseer practically yells this to you at the "end" of the game. Which comes back to your season finale, there is not real unity or trust. It's a single faction (a hundred or so people) fighting against an existential threat, honestly it's almost identical to the Brotherhood's story except the Brotherhood lost. The Enclave wins the day against the Scorched, but they do it alone. It basically ends with "What if Operation Touchdown succeed?" I don't know, this is more me just rambling than anything else, it just felt like such a consequential event should have had multiple factions working together to defeat the Scorched, maybe the people of Morgantown and the Raiders of the Savage Divide, fight with the Enclave and not just stand on the sidelines. Maybe the new people arriving could of helped as well. Idk. And Valeria's speech, "Today Humanity won." Humanity? You mean the Enclave? Cause a hundred people and some robots isn't really "Humanity." Overall, the season finale and season as a whole was great and I'm still excited to "see" more. It's just that final theme/message, that unity never really matter cuz a single faction with enough guns and tech could defeat the Scorched seems rather iffy. That 100 former Vault Dwellers with an orbital gun could do what literally ever other post-war faction couldn't just seems anti-climatic and the opposite of the message of the actual game. Maybe I've just "misread" the finale or maybe the next 2 seasons prove me wrong. It's just right now, with season 1 down, I feel like a lesson was missed or someone got the wrong takeaway from the game. And honestly, the Enclave maybe should of lost. Valeria basically made the same mistake as the Brotherhood, fighting alone, yet was rewarded for her efforts. If She, and the Enclave, had lost, then that might of lead her to change or something else, actually allying with other factions instead of just controlling them. Idk, just food for thought. Again, loved what I've "seen" so far and can't wait for when I listen to Season 2 and that mystery is really enticing. Great work! P.S. Why weren't there any Sentry Bots at the final battle? Or Mr. Gutsy's for that matter? The Enclave, and the Whitesprings, clearly have a few at their disposal. The Assaultrons were a good inclusion and would've loved to "see" one split a Deathclaw in half with a Laser Beam!
Hello there & thank you for the wonderful write-up of your impressions of Season 1. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the direction the story takes in Season 2 & 3. In fact, I believe you'll see a lot of what you address in your summary. We need forward to your comments on subsequent episodes!
@@themodusfiles-afallout76po30 Thanks for the response! And now you’ve got me even more excited! And sorry if it seemed like I mostly talked about the negatives I had with the first season, there was just so much good, and I had just finished the finale, that really the 1 “issue” I had with it was at the forefront and I kinda skipped past all of the positives. So here’s some positives that you and your team did really well! Major Lilith NOT being just a Frank Horrigan clone. I had some major sympathy for Corporal Cindy, I probably would’ve reacted the same as her. Honestly, she seems to be the most relatable character. Colonel Valeria being the morally wrong badass is great. Captain Stein being the best Dad in the Enclave was a surprise but a welcome one and kinda wholesome! Sergeant Major Muller scratching that Power Armor itch for the Enclave. So much more positives: The voice acting was great, everyone seems to have their own mysterious plan going on, the battles are very intense and descriptive (though I could’ve sworn that Colonel Valeria had been injured by a Deathclaw, not a Wendigo), and more! You guys did really good work on this series!
@@dominator1914 - just wait. I don't really think we hit our stride until the beginning of Season 2, as the story really starts to expand. There are reasons for the way season 1 went down the way it did - because it opens things up for so much more than just a "Scorched" thing - and you'll hear why as you get further in. We really appreciate your comments & really hope that you continue to enjoy as we go!
This is probably my favorite episode of “The Last Days of Appalachia.” I don’t know if it’s just my love of the Brotherhood but this episode is so good. The build up, the tension. And the bitter ending. “Defiance has fallen.” Just really well made. I’ve been following you guys on the podcast and I’m nearly done Season 1, can’t wait for everything else. On a final note, that last message by Grant, “Defiance has fallen” it’s kinda ironic, isn’t it? Since Appalachia never gave up, it defied the odds even when it lost. Particularly At Point Pleasant, where the Responders defied till the end. Also, loved that episode as well.
Pls. My dumb brain has been trying to find the minor key versions y’all have of the “patriotic American” songs for hours and my google searches haven’t done heck. (Also I love the podcast and am exited for every episode release.)
It was something we had specially composed for the 3rd season.
Freaking love it. I'm getting Enclave meets NCR correctional facility from New Vegas.
Took me a while to realize that was a Camp, great work bro!
Looks real good damn
Favorite podcast. 10/10. Hope it doesn't end as well.
Pretty good so far
ughhhh hahaha the end was a total cliffhanger, was expecting an ending with a short sich on val's status. Hope episode 8 comes soon!
This probably isn’t going to happen but I’m hoping the enclave sides with the pact
im hungry for more🙂
What are the perks that you are using?
Look at that enclave blaster!!
Modus gives me serious Cabal vibes
What is that opening tune? Thats so good!
All credit goes to Pandora Beatrix for coming up with that little tune completely on her own!
Such an amazing first episode of the new season! Can't wait to see where Season 3 goes, but i'm really looking forward to it. Fantastic work!!!
Nice 🎉
Any idea when modus files will release
Can't wait!
Your videos are captivating. Let's collab and create more enchanting stories?
I've played this game for years now and, truth be told, it's become "Go out and just... kill everything". The modus files has made me think a whole new way about the game. What it must have really been like coming out of the vault." It's one thing to think "Man, I must have killed dozens of molerats" but we never see or think of the mess. How blood covered the walls and our shoes. If only the game showed that. Thank you for this, you've given me a new way to look at the game world.
'PromoSM' 😳
Gold in West Virginia? Either the Mothman is going to leave vast gold deposits between now and 2104….or our current nemesis in the Mountain State, “Methman” has just gotten to everyone’s heads and has them seeing gold by 2104….luckily I’ll be long dead if either scenario comes to pass.
you live in alternate reality
How so? Just curious.
Love listening to these while settlement building in fo4, on episode 4 and loving it so far. The setting and lore of fo76 is super interesting, wish there was a single player mode
Leaving a comment for the algorhythm or whatever it is! :DDD ❤
Oh man, legend
Just found you on twitter and was super curious. I’m very intrigued after this episode. Thanks for this!!
Another brilliant episode as always. But I have to ask this; am I the only one that hates both Day and the Overseer at this point?
I think now I know who it was that was creeping around Fissure Site Prime at the end of Season One. Would make sense, to me anyway, with Dr. Blackburn being around still. Another great episode and Antlers finally making an appearance was brilliant
I was thinking it was the overseer and the dude shes with. Just the way they were introduced at the start of season 2 and what was said at fissure site prime. ?
@@davidperez1864 The Overseer and Day were both in the final episode of season one, but after the New Enclave forces defeated the Scorched Beast Queen at F.S Prime a few hours later another group appeared and took samples from the body. And it's likely they were the same soldiers/mercenaries that have been tracking Trader Red in the last few episodes
@@Poynton90 lol. I guess i should have listened to the episode first. I believe you are correct.
Antlers❤❤
Every new episode is always so well done and so exciting to listen to. Brilliant work!
👍
Very cool but i want to hear when she met modus!!! And how much time has passed between 1 and 12?
