Sir, after NEET 2024, I've come to realize something painful about life. It’s not just about how hard you work; everything seems to depend on your luck. 😔 You can give your heart and soul, but in the end, if luck isn’t with you, all your efforts feel like they’re slipping away. Take this for example: a student scores 550 marks and belongs to the OBC/General category, and they end up with nothing, no college, no future in Ayush or modern medicine. But if that same student scores 550 marks and is from the ST/SC category, suddenly their chances skyrocket, and they can get into an MBBS college. 🎓 It feels so unfair. What about the sleepless nights, the sacrifices, the countless hours spent studying? Does that mean nothing if you’re not born into the "right" category? 💔 I can't stop this feeling inside me, this question that burns: what does it take to be an ST or SC student? What extra hard work did they put in to deserve this? 😢 Because it looks like their dreams come true without them needing to push as hard, and when they reach the top, they fly so high, looking down at the rest of us who did everything we could, who scored higher, but ended up with nothing. They are treated like gods, while students like me are left feeling invisible, like slaves to a system that wasn’t made for us. 😞 I want to be clear-I’m not criticizing anyone, I’m not against ST/SC students. I’m just pouring out the feelings that are tearing me apart. 💔 This isn’t about the toppers, because let’s face it, most students fall somewhere in the average range. Before the 2024 exam, I believed in myself. I thought my hard work, my passion, my dedication would surely get me into a good college. I had always been great at studies, consistently scoring above 90% in 10th, 11th, and 12th. 📖 But now, after two long years of battling through this process, I feel like an average student. I’m left questioning everything. Is it just my luck? Luck feels like this cruel, uncontrollable force, dancing beyond my reach. 🎲 My birth wasn’t in my control, and it seems neither is my future. These competitive exams-they call them "competitive," but where is the fairness in that? I can work as hard as I want, but it feels like hard work is worthless without luck. 😞 I keep asking myself, how much more can I give when it seems like the world is determined to take everything from me?
