Being able to watch the Dream concert today, I definitely saw this professional worry he was carrying. He said it was a thing he wanted to do for a very long time, so maybe it was exactly what was holding him back a bit. It's perfect from a technical perspective, but I do think it was exhausting

But then he met Hizaki Hizaki: Kamijo was recruited by Hizaki as a producer for the Hizaki grace project; they both talked about their interests in music and their plans. They had similar goals, and their ideas on how to get there overlapped. It was almost like a miracle. They also found out that they both like roses a lot! "You don't see a lot of people who would say aloud 'I like roses' " says Hizaki. So Kamijo said they decided to make the best Rose band. They shared the feeling of wanting to be recognized by the world. Jasmine You: You also participated in the Hizaki grace project. He kind of asked "so when am I going to be invited", shares Hizaki. Kamijo mentions that You was always with him, so he remembers it was exciting/thrilling to have him join. Teru: - Hizaki knew Teru from playing together(?) in Kyoto: he knew he was a good guitar player. So after thinking about it, Hizaki thought Teru would be the best candidate to play guitar with the band. Since Teru was in Kyoto at the time, Hizaki was like "come to Tokyo", and Teru was like "ah, I'll go!" - Teru met Kamijo and was invited to join the band. They went out drinking, and Kamijo shared his passion/feelings about wanting to create a great band Yuki: - The band started out in June, and it so happened that they got the LIVE date before they found a drummer. So Kamijo asked [someone] to introduce him to the best-playing drummer [they] could recommend - and he was introduced to Yuki. - Yuki got the invite from Kamijo to the band. The band was already full of famous people in Visual Kei world, so Yuki thought "that's my chance". His answer to Kamijo was along the lines "if I am suitable for you, [I'd love to join]". Laughing while preparing, holding roses in their hands and standing on the stage, they decided "let's do all we can do thoroughly" The Revenant Choir First, they made the song "The Revenant Choir" - took them about a month. Teru created the intro, Hizaki made unique bridges within the song, and Kamijo was the one who wrote the melody - everyone's talents were put together. They wanted to showcase this band to the world, and with that thought created their music. Already from the first LIVE they were on TV and in media. It became a wave [of popularity] they didn't even know they would be a part of. "Anyway, first [focus on] Japan" was what they thought, but through UA-cam, coverage in Germany and other things, they started gaining popularity, thanks to all the fans that were supporting them. They started to get responses to different activities, and started thinking that Versailles is really a great band/can become a great band. (Yuki) The drummer is always in the very back, so he can see the movements of the band. From the first LIVE I thought "ah, these people are really awesome, great performance". - announcement that they will sign a contract with the music label After one year of playing, they realized that there are things they wouldn't be able to do just by themselves. Often when bands go major/ join major labels, they mention that they can't do what they want to anymore. "But for us, in order to do what we want we decided to go major". Everyone was happy about that decision.
