I only have a 2018 rav4 stock wheels you think it’ll be able to handle this trail? Or is it too much? And where is this ?

Any chance you could give address or GPS coords for your entry and exit points? I was just on some sandy road today near Chatsworth NJ and would like to do some more exploring. I can’t go too crazy with a 2012 AWD Ford Escape. :)

Hello!. Sorry for the inconvenience, we are a group of friends who like to ride quad bikes from Northern New Jersey and we are looking for places with trails to ride. We saw a video of yours on UA-cam about Pine Barrens. We would like to ask you please if you could help us with some information about the place (if it is safe to camp and if the police arrive and issue fines for trespassing). We recently had an incident with the police at BLUE LAKE and they gave us all tickets and they took the bikes. We would greatly appreciate your help and the information you provide. thank you!

The State park roads are public roads, which means that you have to have a registered and insured vehicle to ride through there. The Park Police would prob ticket and maybe tow you if they catch you. Wish I had somewhere to ride a quad too...

Just came across your video! Ive been trying to find where these trails are down in the pine barrens. Are you just allowed to drive on anything that isnt marked as private?

A lot of the dirt trails through Wharton State Forest and Brendan T Byrne State Forest are actual "named" roads. An app like Google maps will show the names on most of them... From what I understand is that the "named" roads/trails are public roads, you are allowed to be on them. Trails that branch off these main trails that aren't named are technically off-limits to motor vehicles, they aren't maintained, there are puddles that could be an inch deep or could swallow your car whole from years and years of being rutted out by other explorers. When driving around in the Pines, deciphering which trails are public or not is close to impossible.. there are 'no trespassing' signs stapled to trees by the Forestry Service in some areas but not all. If looking for just a nice cruise on semi-maintained dirt roads, try to stick to the named trails.. you can search for places like Apple Pie Hill or Carranza on Google maps. Straying away from the main trails and deeper into the forest comes with added challenges & risks from the terrain itself to running into a Park Ranger... My advice is just go explore one day, drive around and enjoy the scenery and the quietness of being in the middle of a huge forest, see where you end up. (and if you come up on a big mud puddle in your path, use that initial gut feeling you get when you see it.. if it looks sketchy.. either throw it into 4WD low and go for it or find a way around it!..)
