Thanks for the video since it brought back memories of when I worked in the Canadian Northwest Territories, 120 miles north of the Arctic Circle 1976-1977. although I wasn't a pilot then, I used to fly often for my job. In winter we often took off from an ice runway because it was closer to town. No worries about ice thickness at ambient air temps of -25°F to -40°F.

I timed the landing roll at 60 seconds from touch-down to standstill. Given 55 mph ground speed at touch-down and even decelaration, that amounts to a landing roll of 735 metres. Not bad really. From the footage I suspected longer.

Beautiful video! Thanks for sharing. A very long time ago, a buddy and I spent a few days flying his T-Cart off iced over Sunrise Lake, New Hampshire. No skis, just wheels. Then we met and got to know and be friends with a family living there. We even did a few flights at night in full moonlight. What a grand time we had slip-slid’n around on the ice. Ya can’t just go out and purchase memories like that, but the world of aviation will present them on occasion.

That was fun. I fly over the Midwest, corn, beans and beef. Food is good but your view is incredible. I enjoyed that a great deal.

We used to rip up n down that airport in my truck in the mid 90s. Think it was already closed but not sure. Just some bored, punk kids screwing around.

My family owned Wasilla Chevron from '77 to '05, and I grew up in a house overlooking the airport where we could see the service station from our living room, across the airport. I probably watched thousands of planes come in and out of there growing up, but never rode in one. So this is a view I never thought I'd see of my old stomping grounds. Thanks for uploading it!
