[Park Enthusiasts] Parks Project CEO & Founder: Keith Eshelman
Check out our BRAND NEW SEGMENT, Park Enthusiasts, with Parks Project CEO and Founder, Keith Eshelman. Parks Project is an outdoor lifestyle brand with purpose. Parks Project gives back to conservation efforts focused on restoring habitats in our parklands and activates communities of volunteers to support parks. In only 7 years, what started as a one t-shirt business, has grown to an assortment of head-to-toe apparel and home goods and more than $2.6 million in donations to over 50 park conservatories, inspiring the next generation to leave it better than we found it.
Keith, himself, is passionate about habitat restoration and making conservation accessible and cool. Prior to starting Parks Project, Keith was one of TOMS earliest employees, and it was there during a volunteer day in the Santa Monica mountains that he discovered the overwhelming backlog of much-needed funding to complete projects in parks and uncovered a need to educate the next generation of advocates. This episode dives into how Keith creates product stories with a purpose, his craziest moment in a national park, how Parks Project ran the E-Commerce experience for the National Park Service’s Find Your Park Campaign and the brands he looks up to. Listen in!

LOL How do you start any thing worth while in life.... you just start taking steps, know you will trip, stumble, and fall. Also know that all the important lessons as you get back up from the set backs. And good people with a true calling will get help from unlikly sources as you grow. So far looks like your off to a great start.

I assumed the certificate meant someone who knew the land and could navigate it without much light in order to get to the top of mountains to see the stars 🌟 I once hiked up a mountain trail while at 5th grade camp without any lights. It's purpose so that our eyes would adjust to the scenery and landscape around us. Led by a guide who knew the land and night sky well to know where in the forest whe'd get the best view of the stars. He explained that the light changes with the stars cause the stars change place. Then he pointed out some planets. At the top of the mountain, it was magical. There were more stars than I can count and the moon could not be seen. I could see a purplish red ands gold dust in the sky, and the guide explained that it was the milky way. He also said you cant see this anymore in the cities, too many lights. He showed us other different galaxies far far away, the zodiac, big and little dipper. He had us face the other way for a meteor shower that looked like shooting 🌠 stars. I counted 18 that night. The guide also showed us the color difference between the stars. 26 years later, it never occurred to me if that guide might have to be certified in some way to guide a bunch of us kids in complete darkness up the mountains to see the stars. The trail, knowing where everyone was all at once and at the same time, knowing the land and each and every stone, climbing it, then setting markers for specific geological points is not worth being mocked in any way. Ill never have that experience again.

This is definitely mistitled. Joshua Tree is made up of metamorphic rock and contains rocks like Basalt, Gneiss, Granite, and others. Describing it as "coral" is bad geology.

We mixed up the titles for two of our videos but fixed it! He is referring to Everglades National Park where he worked first then is referring to Voyageurs where he is currently superintendent.

You fools are going to be surprised when the coasts and polar bears and such are still there in another fifty years. This false narrative has been circulating for over 100 years, it's a religion for stupid people.
