Go head burn the motor out with that aftermarket shit.
@@edwardrobinson4537 day 173 no burn out

@@jont.v5486 this guy gets it
They also make adapters for the 18v Milwaukee that lets you run dewalt battery’s
I bet the adapter is sold for way more then its worth...typical Milwaukee

@NooyceTools awesome but impractical
@@mcham0846 It's a dark and stormy day and you're trying to finish up a job you're about to until your M12 dies, you check and find out that the other batteries are dead as well your only other options are to wait 30 more minutes to charge it ...oh wait there's nowhere to charge so your last option is to come back another day but wait remember that adapter that I bought let me try it.....it works!! There you go! you finished the job and you don't have to come back another day and risk your life again. Cool, and now Milwaukee will see a steep increase in wttempted warranty claimed that will have burned up boards, and they'll be even more strict on their warranty. Dont do this.

12 to 18 volts can’t be good for very long lol
@@TylerRivera635 just use it up to 2 bars then let it rest
Do you know if you use it over time you can burn out your battery is made for 12-volt battery not for 18 the same thing as a call you run up too much RPM annual burn the motor inside the drill
Yeah and then it burns out the motor at the end of the day.

Who would of thought it spins faster with a higher voltage input. It's almost like it's higher voltage or something.

@@quirinm. yes... yes you are and now i wanna try
Yeah no that's stupid
@@johnruiz918 stupid awesome
Jokes on you it's a 20 volt system already they just dial it back to 12 for convenience and ease of carrying
Hope you realize supplying a higher voltage to lower rated voltage component will lead it drawing more current than normal which will cause it to overheat and wear out much faster
@@coltoncarey5094 true but its so fun

@@moicus29 so true especially for custom work
All that’s going to do is burn up the motor a lot quicker. The m12 is designed to have 12 volts coming thru it just like an led for a car is designed and has the resistors setup to run on 12 volts of current. You can put 18 plus volts on that led and it will shine brighter than the sun for about 10 seconds before it burns it up. I also did this with an RC car it was designed to be 3s 12 volt lithium pack I changed the plug and put a 4s lithium pack on it it was sooooo fast got about an hour total play time out of that one so to see just how fast I could get a car to go I then decided to wire in a 6s to another one it shredded the gearbox before it could burn the motor lmao 🤣
Try a Die Hard next 😂😅
Sir that poor drill didn’t sound good with the 12 volt and really iffy with the 18 volt. Think that voltage jump could have about cook it. I have two of the last gen ones and they have never sounded that way .
@@harlanborders943 this is a really old drill and that adapter is like viagra to it🤣 this old tool has still got it
I hope there's voltage stepdown in the adapter. That's 36% increase in voltage through the tool. That's an easy way to burn board components like the mini caps they use.
Yeah idk what brand that adapter is but if there’s no step down ur just gonna end up needing a new drill if u do this often

I bought two pairs (four batteries in total) on eBay over the past three weeks from two different sellers, and all four sealed batteries turned out to be counterfeit. Fortunately, eBay intervened and ensured I received a full refund. The packaging appeared identical to what you demonstrated; however, both eBay sellers used Amazon's images (showing genuine Milwaukee products) with blister shrink-wrapping around the package's edge, which was not what I received. I've decided not to purchase any more M18 batteries from eBay. Those sellers who were marketing counterfeit Milwaukee M18 batteries have not yet been removed by eBay, which they should be, along with intervention from the FEDS. The batteries were shipped from Los Angeles, but when I requested a refund, I received messages from the sellers indicating they were in China and also wanted to keep half the money. It's time for U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents to step in (hopefully after the November 2024 elections). Also note: All 4 of these counterfeit batteries arrived fully charged (4-bars). Genuine Milwaukee batteries I've purchased have a 1-bar/1-light charge and must be charged before first use.
