Jesus NEVER used the word hellfire. Ever. That is a bald faced lie. He said Gehenna. Gehenna was a garbage dump outside Jerusalem. The word hell never occurs in the Bible, it is an English word, derived from Hela, the pagan Norse goddess of death. This word in used to substitute for 3 other different words, sheol (grave or pit), Hades (grave in it's truest form without mythology) and Gehenna. These hellfire preachers have been twisting scriptures for centuries to scare their flocks and keep the money rolling in.
