Come mushroom foraging with us in Sydney!
Join us as we forage for mushrooms in Belanglo State forest just outside of Sydney! We find mushrooms, cook some and dehydrate them too. Mushrooms can be very poisonous, so make sure you forage with someone knowledgeable and do not eat anything you are unsure about.

Repotting Indoor Plants
Переглядів 963 роки тому
In this video, I re-pot some of my indoor plants that are in desperate need of some new soil. You can do it too!
You should never cut a mushroom off the ground. The remaining in the ground will rotten and kill any other possibility of a re grow….
@@nomorelies2065 I don’t think that’s correct but I’ll look it up thanks for your comment
Wow!! How did I miss this place? I have been to Peakhurst many times over the years, but I have never seen this park before. Thanks for sharing.
❤️❤️👍👍👍👌👌👌❤️❤️❤️
So good to see more people are getting into mushroom foraging. Well done and great video.😊
Aww thank you 🙏 it was awesome fun and I hope this video gets even more people into it!
Do you ever see Amanita's?
yes all the time! this year though was strange and i didn't see any, as it gets a bit colder they might show up as this was quite early in the season
@@thehomegrowntable Do you consume the Amanita?
@@germanicelt no I believe they are poisonous unless treated in a specific way and I don’t want to risk it!
@@thehomegrowntable I'm in northern Sydney and I'm gonna go check out a semi-rural suburb not far from me where there's big pine trees. Maybe i'll find some Amanitas there. Yes it's the fear factor and uncertainty that holds us back. I may try microdosing it.
Well done
Thanks so much Nanna it was so much fun!!
I'm a wild edible plant and mushroom picker myself and living in Europe. It's very interestig to see local wild edible from the other side of the world which I properly never getting to see and taste myself. What is it like?
thanks for watching Roel, i'd love to go picking in Europe! as we don't really have many yummy edible species here. Saffron milk caps are ok tasting, a little bit bland. i don't think they are super tasty but they are fun and easy to identify so I think most people start with this mushroom!
@@thehomegrowntable I would'nt have thinked about mushrooms that fast if I think about Australia so it suprised me you can find them there. But indeed we have thousands of species around here from which a large portion is edible so I would highly reccoment taking a look up here at late summer and autum time.
Id love to know where you got your apron..... Enjoying this video!
Thanks I got it at Myer! On sale was only $10. Yay. Thanks for watching.
Good useful video :)
Thank you!
how many kms do you think this walk is?
I grew up in Park St. Peakhurst (about 1/2 a mile away) and used to muck around there all the time. iIt seems to have changed a lot. Nostalgia big time...
In this day and age...one can never have too many veggies!! :-)!!
Wow that is amazing
