I don't know how one even begins to categorize these songs. Pop, psychedelic, baroque, R&B, classical?
Cuanta belleza...
RIP BJ Wilson, Gary Brooker and Keith Reid. These three hive Procol members died in that order sadly. BJ sadly went a bit early on, in his 50s. Gary and Keith 20+ years later maybe. So sad but I truly ADORED this band . 😢
B.J.Wilson died at 43 years old.
A Christmas Camel Conquistador She Wandered Through the Garden Salad Days (Are Here Again) Cerdes (Outside the Gates of) Kaleidoscope A Whiter Shade of Pale
One of their best. I recall how amazing Procol were live, BJ Wilson one of the very best drummers but they were a brilliant band that included the lyricist Keith Reid. Gary Brookers vocals were so strong and Robin Trowers guitar 🎸 was stunning.
This song accomplishes Gary's vision of the band with the piano, Hammond organ and electric blues guitar all supporting each other. A lot of critics didn't like Keith's lyrics. To me it's about a man going mad.
Does anyone know why this album is not available on iTunes?
Fillmore West surely? Wow never heard it at this quality.
David Knights, in my humble opinion, seems to get the least attention, in terms of mentions and photos, but he did a very solid job in the early PH music.
This track has a great deal of ‘The Paramounts’ about it. This could be being played on the basement of ‘The Shades’. - happy days !
Please, more Procol Harum, more, more, more
Thanks. I Love Procol Harum - 🖤R.I.P. ❤ Gary Brooker (2022),❤ Keith Reid (2023), ❤B. J. Wilson (1990), ❤Dave Ball (2015), ❤Alan Cartwright (2021). My favorite Procol Harum song enter others.
This Album mede the Beatles rethink sgt. Peppers. 1966 this was out defing classic rock.way before any one. Robin Trower laying down the law. Other guitar players re thinking they're Mo. mathew Fisher inventing a new class of organ. Just wailing on it. The notes go right to the gut. Only band where the lyricist was a full member of the band.
Grateful Dead/Robert Hunter

How awesome is this?… embryonic Procol Harum… I can’t believe how good the quality is on this, given the technology of the time. Certainly the band is performing at peak level here… Just wish there was more Robin Trower!🎸❤️☮️
Cool to see Trower jamming on a Les Paul.
He used a greatch as well. Got that sound by slaving a small amplifier into a Marshall.
Fantastic!!!THANK YOU with all my heart. I love it!
This is from a largely forgotten album (HOME) which is as great as the more famous ones before. With sometimes a bit morbidity too much in the lyrics, but fantastic songs.
My favorite Procol Harum song (with the possible exception of In Held Twas In I), and I don't know why I haven't heard this performance until now. Great performance. RIP Gary and Keith. Shine on brightly.
Procol Harum is already an eternal band and this song is one of the reasons for such eternity❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Uma banda eterna e uma música linda ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I saw them in Central Park (NYC), I think it was in '69, and it was a thrilling performance. Thx for posting this.
You think….IOW….you didn’t see PH
Along with Traffic, one of the era’s most interesting British groups. Oh yeah, Beatles, too:)
Robin Trower - what tone, what a touch!
R.I.P Keith!! Have forever loved this brilliant bit of PH surrealism. When I heard the news today, thought of so many of his lyrics, but this one just jumped up to the Golden Gate. Great to hear this version today. How can they both be gone almost a year apart? May the songs Shine On for generations to come...
A big loss, little reported in the press!😪
Just awesome. That’s all I can really say.
First time I've seen Robin Trower play a Les Paul.
In fact It's a Gretsch
Gretsch duoje
Maravilhoso Robin.
These guys did so much with the organ/piano combination. Their approach was so different from The Band. Very British (obviously) Procol had an almost haunting quality The Band lacked. I have box sets of both groups. THAT is some enjoyable listening.
Please, rescue more videos from Procol Harum. They are disappearing everything!
Thanks...this is so classic...
Wow!
Thanks. keep posting please of PROCOL HARUM.
Not too shabby
Robin Rocks!
Early Trower...awsome
Tremendous band out of Canterbury features Pip Pyle: drums, Dave Stewart: keyboards, John Greaves: bass, Phil Miller: guitar RIP.
Tiana, this is miraculously sharper, clearer sound than possibly ever known prior. Can you specify exact source?
All This And More … , 3CD (2009), SALVO
You are wonderful,@@tianatatyur3868 Out of print but great to know source, thank you!
Heady days. ❤️
Enjoyed this so immensely! A perfect example of why I love Procol Harum so much. I saw them live in that Era when our band opened up for them! They used our sound system and I used Matthew's Hammond organ.
Maf on Hammond .................
Sensational version of an already brilliant song. Thanks for uploading
It`s one of these magic moments where one thinks "Why wasn`t I there?". In my case a simple answer. I`m not french and at that time 7 years old! Excellent performance! But the audience? What did they expect. The british answer to Charles Aznavour?
No Charles at all, I was there and can tell you the audience was hip and everybody was stoned and appreciative, the sound of the video doesn't do justice to the audio quality in this great theater, amazing performance, mind blowing concert
Yes, this is great
This audience didn't know what they were in for. History being made.
Gary will live in my heart forever.
@67psych3 you are quite rightly so
Well said
The greatest thing on UA-cam you’ll ever see
God these guys were good.
Yeah! So good, they had only one major hit in the US
@@sparkyk5736 And one of the most covered and timeless songs in history , not to mention the greatest drummer in rock.
@@tool_fighter That's only your opinion!!
@@sparkyk5736 hits are of course irrelevant. Pink floyd only were listened by students until the early 70ies. And what hits did king crimson and nice have. The gods of prog rock
Hi Tiana, when I heard of Gary passing I thought about you and all your great Procol Harum videos but sadly noticed all i saved was gone. Now I was looking for this live version of Rambling On and here you are providing it again, good to see you again but what happened to your channel/
Unfortunately, my old channel was blocked for copyright infringement.
@@tianatatyur3868 Well I'm Happy to see you back, I subscribed and hope you can build back up the best Procol Harum channel here.
