I would like to see a ZX 3 game come into play. I feel it would really give us a very clean ending to the X and Zero stories altogether after decades of build up. And it would bridge the gap to Megaman Legends.

But Capcom didn't want a bad ending, as when they had Inti change Z1's boss to Copy X instead of ture X, and they were unwilling to explain where classic characters in X series.

There are too many MegaMan series Capcom should only shift their focus on few series the classic series and the deeper X game, Capcom can no longer milk the series with any new Legacy collections Capcom had to make new games, they should work on either MegaMan 12 trying to fill the gap between the X series and Classic series, or they should produce X9 to resolve the cliff hanger of X8, and explore what Zero and X will do in a world with no mavericks and in a world with no Sigma will they be able to build a new society and maintain justice, X9 should also bring back Lumine change his gender to female, also X9 should explore the romance between zero and Layer and Layer should play more important role than being a lover or a navigator to Zero she should try to wander the land explore his origins and play a vital part in his life, also the X9 shouldn't try to connect to Zero series as I believe that both games are in a separate timelines, also Capcom don't need to make X9 from scratch they can just update X Dive with new stages, characters and storyline while keeping the already so good gameplay of X Dive at least to justify its huge price tag of 30$.

Sigma was defeated for good by the mother elf which means he returns again sometime after X8.

As far as I know the only thing that pin-points Command Mission in the timeline is the dialogue when Axl joins the party, in which he tells X that he is investigating his own origins. So Axl already exists but he still is the only shapeshifting reploid around, which means anywhere between the end of X7 and the beginning of X8.

I think the idea with the most potential is X9 leading into the elf wars. I don't think an elf wars game by itself would be necessary; I think that story was told about as well as it's ever going to be in Z3. ZX3 would be super awesome; I'd just hope that it would be refined from Advent because that game is a mess on almost all accounts. (Especially the story. Goodness gracious, it's so messy.) Got yourself a new sub with this video. I really have to agree with you and I had not realized that it has been nearly 20 years since Mega Man X8 came out. Heck even looking back it has been almost 6 years since Mega Man 11 was released. I do really feel like Capcom is sleeping on the Mega Man fanbase. Will look forward to your next video on this topic. Currently the issue with Mega Man is twofold: - Capcom has nobody inhouse that is willing to champion Mega Man anymore. - Capcom has zero interest in its IPs beyond Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, Resident Evil and Dragon's Dogma. MML Collection could have a third game also: Adventures of Tron Bonne.

The designer for Model A has said that the cap on Model A can be a seal to stop lumine on Axl's forhead gem to stop spread of a hypothetically Virus, in this case if Capcom wants to connect dots there is still a chance that Axl can be still be connected to Model A somehow or to Master Albert explaining why A-trans exists on ZX era, But to be honest this villain lacks of background prior of he becoming part of the Sage of trinity, because no one on MegaMan Zero have this ability and there is a chance that all New reploids were nowhere to be found (even that Zero 4 was released near X8 that could explain this issue) It's a total mess.

The thing with Axl gets even weirder if you unlock his extra armor in X8. Don't want to spell it out, but really think about his new color scheme. X9 is the next game I want, hands down, I just hope that if they do make it, they don't just sweep all the Lumine stuff under the rug and go right back to Sigma.

Legends would be 3 games if you include Tron Bonne. They could make up for the lack of games by going back and offering a legends 2 control style upgrade for legends one.

A legends collection would also include The Misadventures of Tron Bonne. But yeah as much as I love the legends games, one of my favorites of all the megaman games, I wouldn't pay full price for that collection, unless it is a remake or at least a remaster.

Nice video! Little tip for audio though, if you listen close to the audio you can hear a faint static noise. This can be reduced when editing audio so people don't hear it. I know in Audacity you can select a portion of "empty" audio to create a noise profile and filter it out through the entire audio track

I just recently got back into the series the other day and purchased the battle network legacy collection. I’ve been playing that along with MM11, The zero/ZX legacy collection, X Dive and the X 1-4 collection. What a fantastically complex universe with deep, rich lore for a franchise with relatively simple yet challenging gameplay. I do hope we get more in the future. I like your ideas and I also heard there was a plan for an FPS maverick hunter X game with a more mature/gritty feel. I would personally LOVE that. I think that idea, legends 3, an elf wars game, and a zx3 would be my top MM dream projects. If I had to come up with an idea myself I would also love to see a mega man vr game focused on blasting bots with a buster or taking them out with a buster sword. ZX I think is my favorite conceptual idea in the franchise. I love that the characters are humans that essentially use Morphers to turn into the more classic idea of mega men without the gimmick of battle network and star force. I really wish they’d do a 3rd one of those.

I think by all means there should be an x9, a zx3 and a legends 3. I am okay if there is no cyber elf war in x9 and this does not link up with other series, but there are some plot points that are blatantly unresolved. We do not need to experience the flood or the murder of 90% of all reploids on screen, but by all means we all want Volnutt to come down from that moon. I think it is a human condition to want closure for our heroes and see them be fine until their next adventure. That is what brings me neatly to ZX. Most of the supporting characters, mainly the Guardians (organization) are pushed aside in ZXA, giving us no hint on where Prairie is (she does not appear at all) and also Ciel, that was such a big deal in ZX. She is the creator of the biometals after all, it is baffling no one is focusing on them at all. My idea for ZXC (zx3's official name confirmed) is a full fledged metroidvania castle. I think some of the snippets of plot scattered in Inti's games to be a preview of what they were going for, mainly from Dragon Marked for death and the gunvolt serie. We could see the Guardians being warned by Master Mikahil of Master Thomas's folly before Mikahil is ended, and the plan he has for the world: the complete annihilation of humans, as even through the laws of the world where humans adapt reploid parts, reploid are now mortal with a set date of expiration and get nothing out of this deal besides not being shot on sight. Therefore the ZX and ZXA protagonists arrive with the Guardian ship to Thomas' city, with the intent of stopping him from unleashing a catastrophic event that will reset the world. We also have Prairie's support, who tells us her searches prove that Ciel last appearance and model Z (who never returned from ouroboros) are in the area. Just like in Dragon: MFD, we can choose a protagonist for the story, as they have different abilities and head in, gaining certain upgrades (A trans or X merges) while infiltrating the giant castle. learn of a mysterious figure, a masked Zero like figure that attacks the player multiple times over the course of the game, getting stronger and stronger. In the final confrontation, the mask over the masked rival comes off and we are shown that the actual rival we have been fighting was Ciel herself, that got used all this time by the Sage Trinity to create model A, orchestrate the theft of the guardian models and the gathering of model W's. However, having snapped the way Thomas was controlling her, the Guardians can now use model Z's power and Ciel's knowledge and make to the top of the fortress. There we discover the extent of Thomas's plan, to flood the world and reset it. Under the influence of model W however he has also gathered all the human parts from the Legion HQ that were substituted with reploid parts for humans, all reploid data gathered from their examinations and all model W's. Only too late he realise he has been manipulated by Weil for over 200 years, as he was orchestrating own revival, not as just a human, but a being completely fused with biometal, flesh and mechanical. Thomas attempts to stop him by using the flooding doomsday weapon, that however does not manage to stop him (and their clash results in some islands and continents to remain afloat luckily), as the last battle is against the revived dr Weil, being put down for good. The end screen could easily be the guardians' ship, now a proper ship on water, looking for life in the destroyed world as Ciel professes again that she will make sure that humans and Reploid will finally leave in harmony, although humans will have to get used to such an harsh world... Leading up to the carbons if they wanted to link it up to legends

I do think what you say is understandable - X8 in of itself was made with a cliffhanger in mind and there *was* an X9 in works at one point, though it never entered proper development to my knowledge, and it would be nice to see a proper resolution to ZX (series made by same developers as Zero, and there has also been confirmation of a third ZX game being planned at one point) and Legends, but I don't think Elf Wars games would work - similarly to Castlevania's 1999, those kinds of events will always be more interesting in one's imagination than an official work would ever deliver, and I think it would be fine if the Elf Wars stay mythical as is. However, I disagree with treating each series as interconnected with the other and itself: I know this is how CAPCOM treats canon, but as different developers worked on various games, the events of certain ones don't connect or even contradict others. For example, X8 as a story is almost completely separate from what came before and outright retcons X7 (and potentially X5-X6, but that is a bit unconfirmed as I haven't been able to find much on it). Same for X3's Sigma Virus destruction having almost no impact on anything as it was an outsourced game, or X4-X6 focusing on way different things compared to, say, X1-X2. I think the stories are better off viewed like this rather than attempting to tie different, sometimes contradictory directions together, and I prefer the classic, X and Zero series being that way as well. A classic to X game would ultimately not be what works for classic's direction, and Zero as is barely even connects to the X series, throwing away most of the characters and direction in favor of it's own stories and world, down to even Sigma just being a footnote in Zero 2's data discs. Regardless, good video.
