Parabéns pelo vídeo João!! Atualmente eu resido no Canadá e concordo 100% com as suas impressões sobre o país. O Canadá é bem parecido com o Brasil nessa questão político-administrativa, corrupção, burocracia, políticos com falta de tato com a realidade, e dinheiro investido em áreas desnecessárias. A diferença é que o país é industrializado, e por ter uma economia melhor que a do Brasil, acaba sendo mais seguro e melhor. Mas se dependêssemos dos políticos locais, com certeza seria muito similar a América Latina.

idk how i found this video (I’m a native english speaker who is learning spanish) but firstly your english is very good, I had no problem understanding anything you said (I don’t know how to phrase this well, but your accent is largely due to portuguese having a more nasal sound than english). I can’t speak for every native english speaker, but I don’t think you sound arrogant at all. I agree that english (and probably german and dutch as well) is a very precise language, and can be made very straightforward and unemotional. My experience with spanish has been wonderful, but I couldn’t imagine reading a math textbook in spanish, romance languages feel much more musical and free than english often is. Also, so much information is in english. It’s been hard to find reputable sources on niche topics in spanish, whereas in english I have access to just about anything. I wish you the best in your reading, I think it’s had a great effect on your articulation in english, you spoke very well and you seem very intelligent.

While i do agree that reading on english has benefits. Like broader translations of all subjects, more concise prose and others. To read on the language that you think on daily makes your relationship with what you read stronger. If you learn in english and live on portuguese you will be slower with the thinking because all that you think will have to pass the filter of unconcious translation
