Lipa Schmeltzer's extraordinary ability to fuse contemporary elements with age-old traditions makes this Mitzvah Tantz truly exceptional. He skillfully integrates the cherished melody from Dudi Kalish's popular "Eishas Chayil” from 2016, infusing it with his own lyrical creativity to enhance the event.
Kalish's unique approach to the melody stands out, as it explores the meaning behind King Solomon's verse, "A virtuous wife, who can find?" The piece artfully weaves together the words of a celebrated author whose works have deeply resonated with the entire Jewish community.
Eshet Chayil (pronounced aish-et chai-eel or eishes chayil), often translated as "Woman of Valor," is a passage from the Book of Proverbs (chapter 31:10-31) traditionally sung before the Friday night Shabbat meal.
Though the exact origins of the custom remain unknown, it has become a widespread practice in nearly every Jewish community. This song is performed at the start of the Shabbat evening meal, just before Kiddush, and is often used as a means to honor the mother or matriarch of the household.
Commonly viewed as a tribute to feminine strength and virtues, the Biblical poem also serves as a moment to acknowledge the hard work women put into preparing the Shabbat feast. However, this interpretation raises intriguing questions.
After all, Eishas Chayil concludes the Book of Proverbs-King Solomon's monumental work on wisdom and morality. Why would Solomon choose to close such a profound book with his idealized vision of womanhood?
These complexities challenge the conventional understanding of Eishas Chayil and invite deeper contemplation on its true meaning.
In this video, Lipa Schmeltzer communicates to both the (Kallah) Bride Roizy and the (Chusan) Groom Lieby Breuer the essence of "Eishas Chayil," suggesting that their life journeys, with all their twists and turns, have brought them to this unique moment of celebration and prayer.
The couple is encouraged to reflect on their shared experiences and the profound significance of their union.
The Mitzvah Tantz, a revered dance within the Orthodox Hasidic Jewish tradition, marks the culmination of the wedding festivities. It holds immense cultural and spiritual importance, representing the unity and joy experienced by the newlyweds and their families. This moment is imbued with deep emotional connection, tradition, and spiritual meaning.
As you watch the video, observe the Groom and Bride as they step onto the dance floor, enveloped by an atmosphere of joy and reverence. The Brides profound emotions reveal a powerful mix of happiness and devotion. Her visible tears, far from being tears of sadness, are an expression of overwhelming joy and heartfelt prayer. She continues to pray, mindful of all those who have sought her prayers. Her demeanor exemplifies the spiritual depth and cultural richness of this moment, reflecting not only personal joy but also a sense of communal connection.
Family and friends gather around the couple, their joyful expressions and lively dance moves creating a captivating scene that beautifully reflects the love and unity within the community.
Lipa Schmeltzer’s performance infuses the event with warmth and enthusiasm, perfectly capturing the spirit of this beloved tradition with every note and rhythm.
This poignant and heartfelt moment encapsulates the essence of a traditional Orthodox Hasidic wedding. The Mitzvah Tantz with Groom Lieby and Bride Roizy Breuer is not merely a dance; it is a profound expression of faith, love, and cultural heritage. Join us in celebrating this magical and unforgettable occasion.

“a special connection with god” . . . there’s delusion for you. I’m not sure which is most nonsensical. . . that there is a ‘god’ or that anyone can have a connection with him
Without guests?🤔
Как мрачно выглядят еврейские женщины на этой свадьбе! Больше половины, просто в чёрном! Никакого сравнения со свадебными нарядами турчанок, ассириек и курдских девушек!
Столы ломятся от угощения 😂
Is Roizy chassidish?
Such joy and honor!
Счастья молодым!
Valsul și tangoul sunt eclipsate de această horă.
Кошмар!
Of course, Mazel Tov! I visited Israel many years ago and remember a few various celebrations. At first it was surprising to watch only men dancing, then i got used to it. It was always amazing how Israeli people respect their traditions. I admire them for that. Some men are very handsome while jewish girls are not very attractive, though some of them are stunning. Mazel tov, to this couple!

Is Roizy chassidish??? Her parents don't look it
I Especially liked the dances with two women dancing in front of bride. Bride looked nice. Hope they have a satisfying life
They seems to have fun. But in my country and according to our customs We could not wear black to a wedding. Black is for funeral so it feels strange ti see funeraldressed people Dance. And its bad luck in our tradition to wear black at wedding . Its to wish bride bad luck. And no white since its brides color. So traditions is funny. Its important to know it when you go to another country for wedding. I personelly got very upset at my first wedding abroad and Discovery they wearing black. Now i am use to see it But i wear Bright color. Its a party!
jews usually wear dark colors in bar mitzvahs or wedding it is our prefered color mostly black and usually i dress more black and navy blue cause im jewish and yes many of our jewess sisters wear dark colors and it is strange for us to wear bright colors but yes
