this would be an exelent model IF a t12 tip is used and internal turbine for the hot air nozzle the manufacturers alway miss the point of doing it properly

Is there any way to upgrade the partially unpopulated PCB that is used for USB connectivity so one can add PC commo and control/recording to this PSU? From what I've seen, adding the board should do it, but I've not heard or seen of a fully populated commo board being available as an upgrade.

hmm what is preferred switching or linear PSU? Im a noob and it seems to be hence the AC and the linear takes it down to low voltage AC first before DC-. Im left with the impression that linear is usually best and often also most expensive and switching is cheap and often what is found in mobile chargers etc and laptop psu and very cheap bench PSUs? I have two cheap bench PSU for laser diodes that I purchased new one from China 66USD delivered and the other from Germany at around 100 USD and both can be controlled with my computer and set the run some cycle programs.. recall both are liniar..its these. imgur.com/a/B7ZOQ3J

What's the use of having .00 voltage indication if you cannot use 0.01V increments?

Do you know what tips the 947-III takes? I heard it was compatible with Hakko tips, but I don't know which type or model number of the tips to get replacements, could you help me out please? Thank you.

As you can see at 4:20 the voltage only increases in increments of 0.1 NOT 0.01 as they claim in specifications. the last zero is only for display purposes. Same goes for the current as the last 0 in the display is useless.

Там обычный симисторный диммер без обратной связи (термопары). Регулятором можно настроить подводимую к жалу мощность, а не температуру нагрева. Знал бы я это до покупки, ни за что бы не купил.

Can I use it for mobile maintenance?

The SOLDER PEAK SP-1010DR on tme.eu seem way better deal, the nozzles are just about 1eur each, there other spare parts too. YIHUA use to make dedicated soldering station but no more. If big brand catalogues like tme.eu farnell elfa does not sell this YIHUA brand then it can't be that good. Also as somebody said finding spares and consumables is hard.

I think there is design flaw in your desolder gun. The tin stucked in nozzle and there is no way to take it out. Tried : 1. Heat it up to 400degree celcius 2. Use harder needle 3. Use another solder gun with small narrow tip to heat up inside, no joy It is pretty useless and need to change a new nozzle tip. Wait, there is no spare parts for this brand. You need to improve your service, parts and support!!

I have the 948 older model. Is the tips compatible with the newer 948D ? Could you tell me where i can buy the tip?
