Thanks for your comments! It was an amazing place to live. Although I was stationed at Camp King, my wife and I lived off-post in an apartment on Korfstraße. Speaking of bikes, our apartment was one of them above the current City Zweirad bicycle shop. It was a HL Markt when I was there. I've just finished re-capturing my VHS camcorder tapes from that time and will be re-uploading some better quality videos and a few new ones. More 1989 Oberursel on the way.

Sehr cool! Das letzte Mal, als ich die U3 gefahren bin, war im Jahr 2000, und bis dahin hatte sich so viel verändert. Ich freue mich auf meine nächste Reise zurück, hoffentlich im nächsten Jahr oder so.

​@@daemonsentry Leider wurden seit April.2016 sämtliche U2 Wagen durch neue Fahrzeugen ersetzt. Nach der Ausmusterung wurden alle alte Fahrzeuge bis auf dem Museumswagen verschrottet. Von den 100 Fahrzeugen sind nur noch 3 U2 Wagen vorhanden. Sie erhielten den Ursprungslackierung Rot/Weiß zurück. Die U2 Wagen stehen nur noch für Sonderfahrten zur Verfügung

@@daemonsentry Cool nicht schlecht. Ich habe früher auch selbst in Oberursel von 1992 bis 1997 gewohnt. Ich kann mich auch daran erinnern dass Sie im Kurven zwischen Liebfrauenstraße (Heute Oberursel Stadtmitte) und Oberursel Bahnhof auch etwas schneller fahren durften. Seit 1995 dürfen die Zügen in der Kurven zwischen Oberursel Stadtmitte und Oberursel Bahnhof nicht mehr schneller als 30 Km/h fahren

Hi Jay, no problem! Saw you guys in the 90's at the Mucky Duck (I think) and bought the CD. Posted the videos after I went to show my youngest son the great tunes but found they were missing from UA-cam. It didn't help that I did not have a CD or DVD player to handy to play it on. Thanks for the great music!

I know what you mean. I only spent about three and a half years in Oberursel during the late 1980's, but it became like home. I did get to go back and visit in 2000, but have not been able to get back since then.

@@barbaramautz1985 Ich hatte Glück, meine Frau arbeitete im Frankfurter PX Sight and Sound Center und wir haben einen guten Kauf für den Camcorder bekommen. Es war das erste von vielen im Laufe der Jahre.
