Travel to the heart of Andalusia, the old town of Cordoba. This is where you will find one of the most extraordinary artworks of all times. It's the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, a universal symbol of Muslim legacy in Spain. There are more than 500 columns and overlapping arches inside that create impossible perspectives, rooms with stunning decorations, authentic artisanal filigrees, etc.
Located in the historic center of the city, the ¨Mezuita-Catedral de Córdoba¨ is one of the most beautiful examples of Muslim art in Spain. The Mosque of Cordoba is a mixture of overlapping architectural styles that occurred over nine centuries of construction and renovation.
The Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba (World Heritage Site since 1984) is arguably the most significant monument in the whole of the western Moslem World and one of the most amazing buildings in the world in its own right. The complete evolution of the Omeyan style in Spain can be seen in its different sections, as well as the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles of the Christian part.
The great Mosque is made up of two distinct areas, the courtyard or sahn, with its porticos (the only part built by Abd al- Rahman III), where the minaret stands - nowadays, encased in the Renaissance tower - and the prayer hall, or haram. The area inside is made up of a forest of columns with a harmonious colour scheme of red and white arches. The five separate areas of the Mosque correspond to each of the five extensions carried out throughout time.

The number of foreign tourists in Spain this year is expected to reach almost 100 million, excluding day-trippers, so I wonder where they are all.
Well tourists do go home, they come for a week or two then leave. Tourists help a countries economy and keep native people in jobs, especially in the hospitality industry. Some tourists have motorhomes/caravans and campers and others stay in hotels. It's not the tourists that are being the problem, it's those who buy second homes abroad or long term rent, pushing housing prices up so that native people cannot afford to live in them and that's if any are vacant so it's not tourists on holiday that's causing the issues and may I also point out... It's a global issue, not just Spain. Many Foreigners are living in other countries, living in homes that native people in their own country cannot afford or even get on the property ladder because of the prices but also not enough social housing/private rentals to accommodate them. There are many Spanish people living/working abroad and they also take holidays abroad so should we all send them home too? We should not buy into this propaganda that is dividing us all through hate and blame, spreading this kind of stuff just causes more problems and it's exactly what world leaders want... Divide and conquer... Has history never taught you anything... The wars starting through propaganda, spilling out racism against fellow human beings and the lives lost including innocent children... It all starts like this. If there is a problem with housing, not enough money in wages then look towards those greedy, lying, cheating political leaders...not tourists who DO go home.

Aunque el edificio funciona exclusivamente como templo cristiano, el nombre usado por el cabildo catedralicio y por el ayuntamiento de la ciudad es «Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba». Esta anteposición de la palabra mezquita se debe a que es con mucho, el nombre más conocido del edificio, que suele ser mencionado como «Mezquita de Córdoba» o, especialmente para los cordobeses, sencillamente «La Mezquita». Además en otros idiomas también es conocida por la palabra española «Mezquita» sin traducir. A nivel más técnico, está inscrita en el registro de la propiedad como «Santa Iglesia Catedral de Córdoba»

Nerja es preciosa, de hecho la visito con cierta asiduidad. Lo malo es que entre junio y septiembre está tan saturada de turismo que llega a ser agobiante pasear por el centro. No la recomiendo es esas fechas.

😢Hay antes habia hierba,entre los qué hacen en invierno su lugar de entrenamiento gratis en vez de ir a un gimnasio, y los de el verano,la hierba ni está ni se le espera😢😢🎉🎉
Las tierras malagueñas son estupendas siempre qué no se saturen de gente qué no nos dejan disfrutarlas a los malagueños. Lo poco gusta lo mucho cansa🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
