Hakuho Sho - NATSU BASHO 2007 - All Bouts Compilation
Переглядів 3,8 тис.2 місяці тому
After a thrilling showdown in the playoff match at the March 2007 Grand Sumo Tournament, Hakuho clinched his second championship by defeating the formidable Asashoryu. This victory not only solidified his reputation as a rising star in the sumo world but also positioned him on the brink of history. If Hakuho can secure a win in the upcoming tournament, he will be eligible for promotion to Yokoz...
Thats a great refresh for the next Basho. Thanks.
As usual, this is some of the best sumo content available. Thanks so much!!!
Hoshoryu remains my least favorite wrestler. Way too many games, and demonstrations of disrespect.
How is he disrespectful ?
@@kdydm69000 Punching the dohyo then walking off after a defeat at 09:00 without bowing to the victor and having to be told to get back in the dohyo and bow, he often displays to much emotion after bouts. Open facial displays of contempt or derision for opponents, too much joy in a victory or too much anger in defeat, all are disrespectful by sumo standards and Hoshoryu does this frequently. In NA this is just normal and often lauded behavior by athletes, while sumo wrestlers are expected to conduct themselves with grace and dignity at all times, totally different cultures.
He is one of my favorite to watch cuz he is probably THE most broadly talented wrestler, his techniques and throws are amazing to behold.
Thanks for the video, I hope atamifuji can win some of his highlight bouts next time and get KK.
I appreciate the break down of the different moves. Thank you.
Thank you Don Don. I'm excited for the next tournament!
Thank thank you you Don don!
While I know it wasn't the high stakes, technical sumo that most would consider 'best match' material, the absolute war that Hokutofuji and Ryuden fought on day 14 was one of the top fights in the whole basho for me.
Thanks! My day is better with Don Don!
Good. Thanks.
Great Thanks for this cool presentation. Onosatos style is oshi sumo.
Two wrong decisions. Disappointing. 😊
Kotozakura got an undeserved win, who was the other?
excited for the upcoming basho. can't wait!
Hey Don Don
Before watching, Onosato v Wakatakakage
Match of the basho FOR SURE. While I loved how dominate Onosato was; Wakatakakage earned that win, he summoned the spirit of Chiyonofuji with that one.
It’s been a great yr for sumo let the November basho be phenomenal!!!
Is the Yokozuna fighting ??
I hooe so. Can be his last year.
Many new faces compare to the september bout. I am hyped
in Career Record what does "F" stand for? Wins Loses F
Forfeits (matches the sumo wrestler couldn’t fight)
ONOSATO CONTINUE CHAMPIONSHIPS 🎉🎉
Terunofuji has other plans
Hoshoryu with a 9-7? Love to see it.
Looking forward to Asakoryu vs Midorifuji for the Little Big Man title.
Will terunofuji be in this tournament
王鵬前頭筆頭まで来ていたんだな・・・
Shodai back to Sanyaku. Great!
Mitakeumi's height?
WOW LOVELY VID!!! NICE WORK!
Wakatakakage in the top ranks is what I've been waiting for.
So excited for the upcoming basho! I love how you’ve presented this - no incessant talking 😂 The music in this video is wild❤
Great video, Thanks!
That background music is awesome. Getting hyped up by banzuke stillframes lol
Love the format of this! Gives us a great overview of who's who .
Don Don you're the best. This was a great production. Thank you very much!!
I totally agree!!! Great banzuke, i love it! Thanks a lot Don Don 😊
Is it too early to talk about the decline of the Mongolian wave of Sumo? We forget how quickly Americans disappeared at end of 90s.
Takerufuji about to win another Basho from low Maegashira again haha
He could definitely do it but is he really back at 100% ?
@@Rudy97 true but I don't think any Rikishi of that level are ever really at 100% Hopefully, he is well enough to give a good fight.
@@roytromb_strength others don't have to be at 100% to have 5% chance of winning against him. Takerufuji has to be nearly perfect to win the whole thing while others need just a little bit of luck to ruin that dream.
This is great. Maybe add a highest rank row.
Was gonna comment this same thing. Loved the format tho, thanks Don Don!
Ura unorthodox !!
Tobizaru too! 😂
Hoshoryu 9-7? A little mistake here, still cool presentation
Someone please explain to me the no-promotion of Oho
Well, he was promoted, from M2 to M1. His record was clearly not good enough to open a 3rd Komusubi slot, and Wakamotoharu clearly had better numbers (2 more wins than Oho from just 1 rank below). What is indeed questionable was giving the slot to Shodai, who had 1 more win but was 2 ranks below Oho. But it was a possibility the old time banzuke-gurus over at the Tachiai blog were also acknowledging, so it's not entirely out of this world I suppose.
Good video but i dont agree with Roga's fighting style being balanced. He rarely wins by pushing his style is yotsu-sumo imo.
Is Asonoyama back? If so, he's in the lower division right?
he's back on makushita #1
He's not back. He's on the banzuke, of course, as he has not retired, but he's got a long recovery after his ACL operation and will probably only fight again in March, by which time he'll be down in Sandanme. Or even Jonidan?
@@aszechy i see thanks
This banzuke gonna go crazy. Takerufuji is back
Great thanks.
Thank You!
how the hell did i miss this upload????
