Yes, I agree with you about the knee space!!😅 Yeah, I am 6'2" so zi can relate to that was well. But you had it great with no one beside you!!!!😅 Nice!! I hear you about the metsl cutlery usage on Lufthansa. It is a small touch! Furthermore, I hope other passengers around that area were not 🤪crazy talking and drinking a lot. Finally, yes, Lufthansa fly the A340s still on a few routes still. We get them here in Chicago along with the 747-800s. And other European airlines still use them as well. The A340s are great aircraft. I hope you can use your points to upgrade to Premium Economy and Business Class for future long-haul flights. Us tall guys need that extra knee space!😅

This is not the rarest airframe in the fleet. There are 22 of these in the fleet, Whereas the CRJ-700 only has 19, although it lists as having 78, the remaining are CRJ-550. But, if we look at the mainline fleet, we can go even more rare with the A321Neo and the Boeing 787-8 both only have 12 in the fleet.

MSN is no doubt one of the best smaller airports in the country, though I’d love to see lower fares in and out of there. I fly back twice a year from MEX and would love not to take that bus back from ORD again

My family and I fly 13:33 on Polaris about 6 times a year. The fries never tasted good. The burger is usually decent. I would advise people to eat in the Polaris lounge. The restaurant in the Polaris lounge is really good.

Well, a long time ago, about 20 years, I flew very regularly with the Dutch Martinair in the 'star class' Ams-Hav-Ams, the then business class with 18-24 seats, before KLM/AF liquidated this company through a takeover. . Always very pleasant memories of those pleasant flights that lasted about 10 hours or more. The 767 e.r. It was a bit noisy, I remember!

I take this flight annually - mostly via KLM, but I am a rare fan of the A330 since I fly economy and I preffer the 2-4-2 configuration. I have yet to fly the NEO, but the CEO is one of my favorites. I am flying there in a few weeks (with KLM) on a real relic… a B777-200ER (the newest one KLM has is 18 years old!!!)

I always get service on this route.

There was no service because it’s a very short flight. There’s not enough time for the flight attendants to safely get through the whole cabin in time, in addition to all their other duties.

The crew was just choosing to be lazy i think. This seems to happen more than we think on delta it just happens to fly under the radar. Ever since they won that JD power award, it seems like in flight service has been slipping.

Seat pitch really boils down to how long your leg are. I am 6ft 6 and Amanda and i sit i 27A/B on the 717 and i fit just fine. No knee issues at all. Then again i believe most of my height is in my torso. My Dad is about 4 in shorter than i am but my mother says his in seam on his pants is longer than mine. That is why i think that. My dad work for Ozark and we both worked for TWA so the dc9 was my favorite aircraft. So i try to fly the 717 every chance i get.

Does the seat have AC power outlets ?

I flew on the 717 from ATL to MSN in July 2021. I traded my 1st class seat for seat 25AB. I had the row to myself. I wanted to make a video of the flight back by the engine. I'm a COS passenger and I didn't mind the flight time. I was all too happy to be there.

I love Delta- my favorite airline- customer service is top notch and the pilots are phenomenal.

The 717. Has been a great aircraft for its time. The A220 is newer aircraft an should be better. Time will tell. The A220 Needs to overcome its engine problems and hold up as good as.a 20yr old 717. As far as i am concerned the Delta 717 are alright

Awesome! I'm gonna be riding on a Lufthansa 747-8 soon to go the opposite way. And on the way back on a United Dreamliner. Although I would prefer the Queen I haven't been on a Dreamliner and I wouldn't mind riding on one :)

Delta keeps those 717s alive. They lease about 70 of them from Southwest, who only fly 737s now. And you're right. No room in them. I try to avoid them along with CRJs. But sometimes you just can't get around it..

Idk, maybe I’m crazy, but the Airbus planes seem to have a more comfortable cabin, and a smoother ride than the Boeing planes. That’s been my experience.

Let’s take a time to appreciate the fact that some countries are still using the ic3 regional trains🥹 i really love them! It feels nice but kinda sad that we are soon switching them out to new deisel trains, i really love the way that israel, denmark and sweden have the same model but with different colours and chairs❤️

What is the date of the trip?

Linköping looks very industrial but it's acctualy just a quite smal industrial zone. Linköping is more of a "study" city than a industrial one, while Norrköping is the opposite. Depending on the time of day you may see me in Åby right before Norrköping doing some railfanning.

Us train nerds can be real nitpickin' besserwissers.. The train model is "X2". The travel product is named "X2000". Eg compare with the UK travel product "The Flying Scotsman", which can be hauled by a locomotive of eg "class 92". And to be complete with this, the "X2" is the complete set. It is something in between a loco with carriages and an EMU. It has one "power unit" (like a loco) but the whole set is a unit that is not split or re-arranged (just like an EMU). Tilting is for passenger comfort only. The power unit (loco) does not tilt. But it sure is nice! IMO the best train currently running in Sweden (although I still haven't tried the X40 and ER1..)
