How to Cut Down a Large Tree (Approximately 100 feet tall)
What did you do with the dead stuff? Did you cut I down?
My neighbor nearly burned my house down doing this
Those sides don’t look like they’re 8 foot tall. Did you cut those down?
get a couple years ahead and split small...simple
If you gotta be told how to do it you shouldnt be burning
The posts for the structure can just be used instead of buying 2x4s.

Thank you so much. I used to live in TN and loved it. Appreciate the follow. I'm going to start getting some more material on here soon. Thanks for following!
I have one. When I press the trigger, it blows itself out
Does that make them go away? Pretty neat idea
How do we make sure the rack doesn't fall and the stuff hit our car?
I got only half acre of lawn and i hate mowing it every week. I'm going to reduce my lawn with trees and some pollinator plants. So glad i don't live in an HOA
Cool, thanks for showing what happens each day and the end result. seems like a great way to get rid of invasive shrubs and vines
A little salt , a little pepper , some garlic, you’re good to go!!!!
Thank you for not making this complicated!
I’ve been doing worm casting for at least 20 yrs now. I presently have 3- 4x24 ft worm bins and a few of those smaller bin you have there. No offense but I could always tell when a person doesn’t know about worms. And are doin a video for the sake of just doing a video. Worms don’t eat food scraps. I’m sure you’re confused now. Let me explain, The worm eat bacteria that the decomposing food provides. Bacteria love to eat food that are high in sugar. Example: sweet ripe banana. Which is why worms congregate around a ripe banana which looks like the worms love bananas but in reality it’s the bacteria they’re after. Now compost is a good source of food, it has ton of bacteria for the worms to eat 👍🏼. FYI: leachate is NOT good for your plant. It has nasty anaerobic bacteria which is not what you want to put on your plants. Worm tea IS good for your plant . Leachate and worm tea are not the same thing. In 20 yrs I’ve never used a light. Light to keep the worms in is not needed, if they have moisture and food (bacteria from manure). I promise you they won’t leave. In fact I just started a small bin today with out a light. I provided moisture and food in a form of compost which had a ton of bacteria. Happy worms stay 👍🏼
W/ regard to covering the wood...I plan to use a tarp. Did you say that one should have a vertical distance between the top of the firewood stack and the tarp? Or, can I just lay the tarp on top of the stack and secure it down w/ multiple sticks of firewood?
You can lay it directly ontop of the wood stack, but to be honest I cut mostly red oak in early spring and by fall it's down to between 15% -20% moisture content. I only cover mine when we get into the snowy season. Rain just runs off it and cant absorb rain moisture easily
Let's go scorched earth!
FYI, this now cost sixty dollars
Inflation is the worst. :(
I made four of these wood racks and they work great! Thanks for the great idea
*Promosm*
I have these in strategic places around my house. My garden is also quite a ways from my house. I carry the water in smaller containers on a wagon to the garden. Works great.
I'm a new subscriber. And planning to move off-grid soon. I'm enjoying your how to"s and tips and tricks videos very much. Thank you and keep up the great work, even with the bloopers!
Thank you for your information is very helpful, I’ll do my own 👍👍
How does it do against myconnections tags?
Will it kill poison ivy?
Sure will! I just edited my title to clear that up! :)
I set mine up like that and it has fallen over twice. The pieces of wood are exposed to the weather though and we have had a lot of rain and the cinder blocks have probably sunk into the ground unevenly. Either than or a squirrel or other critter may be climbing it and its weight may be causing it to tip over. I'm going to have to relocate it to a cement slab.
Oh man. So sorry. Mine fell over once in two years but I stacked it too high and didn’t distribute the weight evenly. Hope the slab works better for you.
I always find it cool to see slight mods/updates on products that are sometimes based on what region of the country the product was manufactured; my BT150 has a red DOWN for CHOKE, UP for RUN POSITION switch, and the priming bulb is located on the bottom of the machine. REGARDLESS, these are great leaf blowers, and this video was put together really well!! Congrats...
My mom has some of those fire starter logs. You only need a very small piece of it to get your fire going, so I broke it up into several small pieces. Also, since I live in a heavily wooded area, I gather several small branches and twigs to use for kindling.
Excellent we have plenty of scrap wood around & tons of jar. We may even have the 'eye' to hang it with.
You did drill a hole in the bottle cap, didnt you. You might need to mention that for some people.just saying...
Do you have to bait the trap?
If you're going to drill through the mason seal lid, use a step bit and avoid the rough blowout. For mine, I didn't use the lid and screwed through the mason band.
Mine has been up for 3 Days haven't caught one bee
Sometimes it can take a few weeks but when the first one goes in, the others follow. Hope it works out.
I read that if you manually kill one, throw the dead bee in the jar to attract others. Otherwise give it time or pick up some carpenter bee lure
Season the jar with saw dust.
Cheap and easy!!!!......and my favorite poster 🍷
I was just going to read an article about seasoned firewood, when your video about that task started, and your humor stopped me in my tracks! That was the video I needed, after the chuckle. Went to your channel page, looking for this video, but first got to see you carry out every parents fantasy, what they'd love to do with a t.v., lol.. the humor plus serving straight details..love it. So, new sub here. UA-cam has been flooded with a lot of nonsense, so channels like yours are a real blessing, thank you!
Lol, great concise info! Impressive, too😂
You are an AWESOME DIY handy guy. Thank you so much. I believe you solved my deck nuisance problem.
I enjoyed K..🍷
Thank you for this awesome tip!!!! I’ll try it soon!
Great idea. I made mine even cheaper by cutting six small pine trees, removing the branches, peeling the bark and they work like a charm.
That’s awesome!!!! What a smart idea. Happy New Year!!
I'm having a full rack of wood delivered which everybody knows is 4X4X8. 2 of these racks one behind the other should handle it right? Thanks!
In my experience, it should. I think they will both be pretty full but it should do the trick. Good luck!
Made a 6 footer w/ your idea!! Thanks
That’s awesome I’m about to build one myself right now
Awesome idea. Gonna do that. Thanks
Took your recommendation and visited Zion and thank you for the awesome tips. One of the best National Park to visit IMO.
Not a cookie hahaahaha
How heavy is it? Is it hard to handle?
22 pounds. :)
@@accidentallycountry that’s lighter than I expected!
