Why does it look wavy?
You missed a step. There is one screw you need to remove from the inside of the door. You need to remove the vertical trim piece first.
Thank you for your video. What happened to your trunk lid, it looks like the right side is lifted up toward the soft top?
After watching this, I’m happy I got the hard top. With the hard top, I can just take it through car wash.
why didn’t you paint it?
It is painted. It looks like Brilliant Black to match the windshield frame. I just bought one for my 2015 Crystal White Mica Club PRHT and had mine painted to match for a more factory, finished look.
Without some UV protection on there, you're wasting your time.

Ugh, had me squirming almost the entire time. For one, wet the top after vacuuming. I’d have never sprayed that cleaner directly on a dry roof and started scrubbing, I don’t care what the directions say or how soft the brush is.
I was afraid I was going to break the plate when taking it off. After I saw the video, I went out and popped it right out. Excellent! Thanks!
