    My favorite foot has been the AllPro!

    looks like a great socket.....I do hear the boa system can have problems with breakdown and repairs. Do you find that to be the case?

    Thank you for this. I'm on my first foot now (Ossur Balance Foot S Torsion) and looking at moving to a K3 foot in a few months, and a bit torn between the Ossur Pro-Flex XC Torsion, and the Fillauer Allpro XTS. My prosthetist likes Ossur, but I'm really leaning toward the Fillauer.

      Hey, have you got this foot? im choosing btw proflex xc torsion and this foot too!

      @@tenglin3584 Yeah I have the Balance Foot S-Torsion. It's a K2 foot. I believe the Proflex XC Torsion is a K3 foot, and a better foot. My Prosthetist wanted me to move from the balance foot to the Proflex XC, but honestly, I had a couple other options I preferred. I almost went with the Fillauer Allpro XTS, as my K3, but changed my mind and wound up choosing the College Park Soleus.

      @@GlassWolfLH Hi, i currently have a K3 foot, the Ottobock Trias, and Im pretty sure XC torsion and the Fillauer Allpro XTS they are both K4 foots!

      @GlassWolfLH 4 місяці тому

      @@tenglin3584 Nah, both are considered to be K3/K3+. K4 is more like an Ossur or Levitate running blade. Those are K4, and athlete/sport-specific. The BioDapt feet are K3/K4.

      @@GlassWolfLHoh, okay! Anyway, I'm getting the all pro next week, hope everything will work out well, how you doing with the college park soleus?

    I'm an amputee aka with similar issue. The catch 22 scenario of having to choose between a higher to the groin socket brim allowing more stability, the price for that meaning more pain (severe pain), versus a lower brim and less stability. We've already lowered the brim and busy testing it, there is more ability and function that way, but it needs to be lowered more and some kind of baby smooth padding added to the brim to protect skin damage from the hard brim. The hard brim was also narrowed in the hope that it will flex more, but that didn't work. It's not flexing enough to reduce pain and less "lip" now to the brim is causing more digging in to the soft flesh and again skin damage after lowering and narrowing the brim. My prosthetist is loath to lower the brim more on this hard IC socket because he doesn't want me to lose more alignment stability. I'm busy watching YT videos to see what solutions I can find for this, because my prosthetist wants to make a new socket and try again, but he is relying on my feedback. I'm not a prosthetist myself, but now finding myself having to look for solutions to help my prosthetist. Their is skin breakage on the ischial area of the butt cheek and in my groin area. I lead a busy lifestyle with lots of responsibilities as a caregiver (very physical job) and going to classes at night with many stairs, no elevator and doing all this through the pain..

      No, you don't. All of this tech is just in an attempt to do a fraction of what your own feet can already do naturally, and the tech still only does a half-ass job of it, and costs tens of thousands of dollarrs for ONE foot, and you typically need a different foot for nearly every activity you do, from walking, to running distance, to sprinting, to surfing, to biking, to skiing, to climbing, etc.. all different feet, and each one is thousands of dollars.. The BioAdapt feet alone cost as much as a new car, and are used for snowboarding, biking, and weight lifting, for example. Then you need the socket, liners, socks, etc, and possibly a QR adapter to change feet without changing sockets. Most insurances won't pay for a lot of this, too.

    I wish more prosthetists made videos like this because it conveys the reasoning behind choosing this device. We thought enough of it to include it on our article on the Kenevo: bionicsforeveryone.com/ottobock-kenevo-knee/
