Fixing broken threads on my Yamaha V-Star 1100. The fix worked and the valve cover no longer leaks oil.
Older type of B&S that difrent regulator of the idle and pulsa jet carburator
Excellent, Shawn! Just EXACTLY what I was looking for! Very well done! Thanks!
What about valve stem seals what happened to that part
decent video ruined by awful background noise/music
bro saved my final
👍👍
Great resource!
The problem here is he has the Breaks & Scrap Em motor on that thing... My girl friends son brought one home here any he tried he tried really hard that he did but I told him about the Governors on em seize up on occasion after the carbs get corroded really bad. He didn't listen to my advice. We had a temporary fireball in the back work spaces that singed the picnic table really good. Come spring he is gonna fix that boo boo...
Classy a Piton & Valves... English Ese English.. They might have pitons lions & tigers in Mexico.. All I got around here is bears Bobcats Racoons and limbs down all over the place...
I like that
I have the original motor on mine and have had it apart many times to fix things here and there and kept it clean. Now it’s BLEEDING oil from the seal around the main shaft right by the pull rope area. Can’t find parts for it anymore. Is there some kind of replacement motor I can use for this chipper? I love this thing cause it eats anything I throw at it.
You are the man!! Thus video is a life saver thanks!! 🙌
That was a pretty awesome video. Thanks for taking time to create this.
Hey mate would you have a link for that fly wheel holder.
Thanks for video. This video. Lots helpful for me.
Mmmm pizza! :P🍕
Could you please tell me where you got the spring compression tool. Iam working on the same mtd wood chipper. And it has the same problem
I remember teaching classes at college back in the mid 70s It was fun and good side money 😊
I have a McLane edger with same engine and same oil drain plug. What tool will I need to unscrew it?
Just put a predator engine on it
Great insight into how to setup linkages
how does the kill switch stop the spark; does it ground it or unground it, I once thought that when the handle is pulled for starting that it grounded the coil for starting, but that doesn't seem to be the case after all. I don't understand how it works to start and stop the engine except for the brake that stops the spinning.
Thanks for clearly stating how to make the measurements in order to know what tap and die to use.
Get Right- to-the-Point: 3:28 you'll thank me later ✨
I have the same chipper/shredder. I bought it new back in 1996ish. It has been used and abused since then. All I have done to it is the regular maintenance and a new pull cord. Over the past few years, it has been VERY hard to start. Once I get it running, it runs well. I think it is time to clean it up. This video was very informative. So if I decide to clean it up on my own, I know what to expect and where things go.
Great Video!
Would you happen to know if a 5hp horizontal shaft Briggs and Stratton crankshaft will work in a 3.5hp horizontal shaft Briggs and Stratton engine?
Thank you very much! I’m so grateful that all this info is provided - invaluable, sir!
Do you expect us to believe the flywheel just came off like that? Fake.
awesome video brother!
Hola pero no entiendo nada, 🤔 soy español, disculpas.
It’s a 1000 hour engine ready for another.
Is it loud
I was gonna take it apart THAN IT SCREWEDME Ha ha literally
No valve adjustment? Why?
great video but do all these engines have the marks to time them? that is the only thing i don't know how to do
I’m not sure but to me it looked as if it would have been easier to install the gas tank, then the carb. What do you feel after having done it your way. Thanks
fantastic job mate, would you happen to have the part # for the head gasket and sparkplug you used ?
thanks share this video
thanks upload this video
I have this exact engine on my lawn edger, and I've been looking for a replacement gas tank. Do you know the part number? Any help would be appreciated. I have enjoyed this video a lot.
Wsppp
Yoo 😎
I love you Mr Dave 🤟🏼🦾
Please turn off the distracting un needed “ music”.
I question if you put the filter and the pre-filter on in the correct order ? This stuff is all pretty new to me, so just checking,
thank you very much for this in depth visual and informative video, very helpful and greatly appreciated !!!!!
very helpful and informative video thank you soo very much for your labor
Don't the piston rings get spaced 120° apart?
should be
Nice Video although the ring end gaps should be 120° apart not 30°. on my motor i bough at a yard sale i had to hone the cylinder for a 1 hundredth over Piston. I also replaced the crankshaft seals and the seals on the PTO. you did not use a locking mechanism for the connecting rod cap bolt nuts like the OEM bolt nut lock tabs or at least loctite blue
