Learn how to weave a simple, single brick stitch pattern square (in this case a rectangle). This particular pattern does not include fringe, however; if fringe is your thing, don’t let me stop you! This design could also be made into a pendant for a necklace. Great for beginners and intermediate alike, although it helps to have made something prior to beading along with this video, as I have gone into greater detail with weaving in ends in other videos, so please feel free to check out any of my other brick stitch videos. These videos have been created to work best in a cumulative manner, so if you’re just learning or refreshing your memory, everyone can find something in them.
Materials used: size 11 seed beads, size 10 beading needle (Tulip, Beadmith, or Pony work- AVOID using regular sewing needles as they are not as flexible and may break your beads.);Beadsmith big eye needle for weaving in ends and working short thread; 4th Fireline or wildfire thread; bead mat (not shown); scissors or wire cutters; pliers; ear wires; thread guard for finishing.
