crazy how the japanese version probably sounds more elegant or something to the people who can’t speak japanese, since so many people are saying the haikyuu dub is just “bad.” they’re crazy high schoolers. i was bored to hell with the subbed first season but was immediately drawn back in with the dub because they’re crazy high schoolers!! voiced by people who sound like crazy high schoolers!! “ew why did they say such a stupid thing” come on. as if high schoolers don’t call each other stupid insults. sure, there are a lot of va’s that stand above the others (namely bokuto, kageyama, akaashi, kenma, etc) but they’re not harvard graduates. they’re crazy teenagers and the dub is frankly one of the best dubs out there. and does wonders for my mental health and others. “I DIDN’T RUN AWAY! I DODGED IT!! GRACEFULLY!! BIG. DIFFERENCE!”
