My dad was stationed there 1971 to 1974. we lived where the grape vineyards were behind us in the housing area, lots of good times there. i remember the families had a field day on the missile site. We had a cookout there was a ball game etc, I remember riding up that long hill. remember Wharton barracks a little bit.

Thanks for the video! I was 46N C55th and worked up on Redleg repairing the missile and support equip. I worked in Quality Assurance(I wanted to be a purple hat). I extended my tour there 2x, from 81-85.

I saw the launchers that were brought in after the explosion, to see what could be salvaged( I was 46N with C 55th main bn., it had pieces of hair and flesh. I was short about a month when I heard the explosion.

I was on CAS duty once there maybe 86. I used to drive my POV to Hardt Kaserne every Wednesday for a maintenance meeting...went on a few long runs in those nearby vineyards on the weekends. Hard to believe it's all gone.

What a surprise! Brother Leiato from C55! This is fantastic!

When we bridged into the second song, and started singing about the goodness of God (Jehovah - you can hear us saying it in Samoan - Ieova), I got up and moved towards the front so I can record the choir from the front where our Elder Pastor was. Then I noticed the inside of the Church became like a white mist. I thought, wow, someone must have .turned on a smoke generator, that is probably why everyone is getting more excited. When I moved towards the back of the church, I noticed the whole ceiling was covered with what looked like white smoke to me, and inside the entire church was misty white, foggy like. Then I stopped recording and just enjoyed the moment. It was after our elder pastor ended choir practice with a prayer, that I went up and asked one of our church members that I didn't know they had a smoke generator, and he said what smoke generator, and what smoke? I asked around, and no one noticed the white mist that covered inside the church. I was like, wow! It was the cloud of glory and I thought it was physical smoke. I was so thankful to God for the privilege to see the cloud of His presence come down. He truly inhabits the praise of his people! Psalm 22:3.
