What a fun way to get around Amsterdam during the winter. Just pop on a pair of skates and skate down the canal... be careful of thin ice though
I was there in march/2018. Just missed each other. Great uitsmijter at tante Roosje at Rembrandtplein.Enjoyed the ride.

If you're lucky you can skate end of january/beginning of febuary every 2/3 years lol.

This was exactly the idea behind my tram project, so I am happy to hear that it works.
I was there!! Of all things,my first day on my quest to ride all tram lines in Amsterdam. Riding in #14 power went out. Back at Centraal it was a ghost town tram wise. I did get it done in the following week. But was interesting to see the system shut down like that. On the Rokin at least 8 trams in a row standing helplessly still.

Climate change. Cold places like the poles get warmer, warm places get colder than usual (like here in Amsterdam). Overall temperatures on earth go *up* and so do sea levels, threatening places like Holland. Not that hard to understand, really.
You are right. North pole temperature above zero Celsius for 3 days in winter!
