@@BBh-v6w Go for it! But good luck! It's a LOT of blocks!
Do it look good when using physic mod?
@dex..... Good question. I don't have the physics mod, but I would guess maybe from a distance? Because up close sometimes it will be moving backwards but far away it might be blurry enough it doesn't matter.
Owhh ok
That's some art right there
@@Elite-y1s That's what I strive for in every build! Thanks for watching!
This is crazy
This just goes to show how much more Minecraft can be explored. These blocks have been in the game for years and now people are just finding out ways to experiment with these build techniques. This is really cool and good job to anyone who has made a design for it.
@@netherwarrior6113 If you'll like this, I have a new one in the works that should knock this one's socks off
@@jakekeltoncrafts I am not a good builder in the slightest, but I always like seeing these type of things so i cant wait
The slower version is so cool, now gotta make the clock and circuitry more compact
@@donotoliver There's been a few tighter designs that have been created, a recent one posted in the discord that I like. Lots of flexibility in the design and concept!
Hey man, I've been checking out some of your other videos and your builds are insane! I would love to get together and ask some questions about the Minecraft niche on UA-cam. Lemme know if your free some time to just hop in a call and talk it would be extremely helpful to get some insight from you. If not no hard feelings keep doing what your doing because your building style is soo sick.
@FrToasty Happy to chat! Free for messaging all the time, but a voice call will need to be scheduled. Do you have a discord? That's the easiest way to chat.
Thats awesome! Ill definitely be using this in my let's play once i find a place for it!

@@jakekeltoncrafts tysm bro
@reprail Of course mate!
You could hook each fan up to a different red stone device, and have them only be powered while the device is in use. Or even use them as an alternative to indicator lights on a build, like activating when all chests in a farm are full.
@Americanbadashh oooo, I like connecting them to a comparator! Like when an afk farm is fully stocked the fans come on and let you know. That's an awesome idea!
Oh man.. this is just what I need right now So clever!
@@bookofmistere The right idea at the right time!
Well that's a pretty cool idea. It's unfortunate your graphics are so washed out.
@lucidmoses I knooooowwww.... I need to go back to Complimentary. This one has too-strong light AND makes ores glow. I just lost my file for the settings I liked in Complimentary and haven't made time to remake it. *blegh*
@@jakekeltoncrafts You could just turn them off. As a youtuber they limit your reach anyways. Sure there are lots of people that like them, Trouble is they are divided as to which ones. But hay, that's up to you. It's good for you not to focus on growing your channel anyway.
@@lucidmoses I like shaders in general more than not using them, but this one in particular I keep fiddling with trying to bring the contrast down and stuff. I'll figure it out eventually. And yeah, if my channel grows, great; if not, no sweat. This is a hobby for me that I enjoy doing.
Mumbo Jumbo has been extremely quiet since this dropprd
@@sackeycharlesquaye2409 He's just coming up with an improved design, haha
nice!
will the 1 tick copper bulb actually simplify this? they took something for us that shant be forgiven
@senv_n Fo' real. I am sure it could have helped. I did mess a bit with copper bulbs when working on this, but being unable to stack repeaters or comparators coming off it made it inefficient. But if someone else can come up with one that works that would be great. There are a few designs, one in the pinned comment, that only use observers, but imo they are so fast they lose some of the animation effect.
anyone know anything similar in concept? concept being adding moving parts to builds. I remember there also being the conveyor belts but I cant’t think of anything else.
@vi7husan Outside of the watermill and grindstone, I don't have many in my world, but I am working on the design for a sawmill, a Dwarven mining/forge town, and a windmill. These are all work in progress, but I'll post a video as soon as I figure out the details and get it built.
@ oh haha i dont mean you in particular just in general, i remember the conveyor belt thing from a bdubs video where he put a looping minecart chest and carpet above the tracks to give the illusion of a conveyor belt moving stuff around. but yeah moving details for builds of any kind would be cool
just now got recommended this! Awesome build idea!
@@montezumamc i am still trying to figure out how to include this into a medieval build. Haha
I watched 2 videos about fans in Minecraft, youtube is gonna recommend me nothing but videos about fans in Minecraft now.
@RadioactiveBluePlatypus I made 1 video about fans in Minecraft and now every new version pops up in my feed constantly, haha. The algorithm is a cruel beast.
@@jakekeltoncrafts Just got recommended a video with 342 views about another fan redesign. I'm gonna click and watch every single one just to see how far it can go lol
@RadioactiveBluePlatypus Hahahaha, you are the embodiment of "I love lamp."
@@jakekeltoncrafts What's "I love lamp"?
@RadioactiveBluePlatypus Old meme from an older movie: ua-cam.com/video/Ld35lMnFQ10/v-deo.htmlsi=8fDFXku1BU2xUs8N Kind of like the "I like turtles" kid. You watch two videos and the algorithm is sold that you love fans.
this is the minecraft vids i wanna see, creative, innovative. Iv been playing since alpha and always relied on yotubers to help me build stuff. I aint as smart or as creative as you guys. So i appreciate this content my guy keep at it
@Stong1337 Thank you! I'm sure you've got creative stuff too I've never considered! It's a team effort.
I'm glad the clock is silent~ I wouldn't know what to do if my fan made any obnoxous and absurdly loud noise =V
@@yaminoryuu9558 🤣🤣💀💀 Fair, fair. Though I think the Tick-tick-tick of 8 repeaters is a little different than the flipping of a trapdoor, the point is very valid!
absolutely amazing
Such an established items yet still new techniques are being found!
pls more of these moving builds 10/10 video
@@der_krasse_lasse8476 Myself and a friend might be cooking up a horizontal fan build design...
@ 😋
does it work with iron trapdoors?
@@TuxedoDogss I see no reason it wouldn't work, though I expect it would be slightly louder.
Incredible build. Throw seeds in instead of wheat, closer emulation of grain. Plus, no fire in a mill. Fire plus flour equals explosion!
@@Dreymasmith Fair enough! And seeds can be composted too, so it would still work! This build was before autocrafters. I need to go back and add an autocrafter at the bakery for turning wheat into bread. Another thing to add to my to-do list!
@@jakekeltoncrafts That would be the perfect addition. Funny how to do lists never seem to end!
@Dreymasmith I love it. It's what keeps me coming back again and again!
Thank you thank you!
Wrong uses redstone dust
I've been informed since publishing this video more about how redstone dust works. I stand corrected!
It's works for bedrock right?
@@sieugach Yup! Another Bedrock user built it and said it works great! I do need to do it myself though too, just to confirm...
@@jakekeltoncrafts tysm!
This is what Minecraft building is meant to be. This is pathos!
Oh wow, thank you Moe! Appreciate the compliment!
the way you talk is either like a mysticat or craftyredstone guy : speak with the tone and stop before finishing the last word then proceed to continue
Something I need to improve on. Even with years of streaming and video making, I still run into issues with finishing complete thoughts; partly because my brain is thinking about what is next and partly because I tend to ramble. This video was also chopped to heck in editing, hence the multiple audio fluctuations, haha. Greatly appreciate the feedback though!
@@jakekeltoncrafts I understand the struggle, monthes ago I also try to make video like camman, vividly and pig redstone guy, its increadebly hard and I retake my voice over many times bcuz I dont think it fits so well
@YusufZetro Yup yup. But we learn and grow. These guys have been doing this as a job for years, so we can cut ourselves a little slack. Keep at it!
Did..did I just witness history. This is awesome as old as Minecraft is we are still finding new ways to build, good job to you and kota.
@@OmicronSeven0 It's what makes Minecraft a forever game!
@ got that right.
This is awesome! I hope it gets attention from mumbo; he could use this in his factory design and hopefully as a byproduct draw more viewers to your awesome videos!
@Ramble_Jack Thanks Jack! That would be very humbling, but I don't need credit. I just like seeing Minecraft continue to grow and develop and people making awesome things!
It became a little bigger but I absolutely love it, I’m a fan of industrial style so I’m gonna use fans )
There are a couple smaller versions (see pinned comment), but their animations aren't quite as smooth. But I also like that I can hook up a bunch to be on the same "circuit", which is probably unnecessary but feels right, haha.
@ circuit feels like the best your addition, for me at least, good job!
@@zix2421 Thanks! I also like that I can control the timing a bit more too, so if I want a slower or broken or something one I have a little more control, verses just letting observers do their thing.
First of all: Looks really good BUT Im wondering If it would Look a little cleaner If you actually would invert the trapdoors that need to be open on default (with redstone-torches) 🤷🏻♀️ Just a thought
@firebird2713 Tried it, and that was actually my first design, but redstone torches burn out after too many ticks a second, and at these pulse speeds they burn out quick, hence using the repeaters. You could slow it all down, but then the animation will look weird at a slow frame rate. But I had the same thought you did, especially for when it is off.
I think Mumbo would like this for his factory build
@@JacqueGumu314 If Doc can break the server multiple times a season, Xisumavoid can survive a fan or two on the factory, haha.
movement in builds is so underrated, I loved those examples at the start of the video!
@@aerosma5021 Gonna keep working on adding more to my world!
@ThatMumboJumbo might be something for your Project
Cool, would like to see a design where you don't need blocks on the sides of the blades and can enclose it in trapdoors instead
@runbcov8691 At that point you might want to look into using observers, like in the re-redesign by Bob 325 in the pinned comment. That should only activate the fan blades and not the blocks around it.
Just make sure it rotates in correct direction, because otherwise you can end up banned in twitch.
Just make sure it rotates in correct direction, because otherwise you can end up banned in twitch.
Trueeeee. Maybe don't build one on a server where someone can "prank" you by adjusting the way the trapdoors open if you stream, haha.
We _love_ Kota
@Sunny.Jay22 100% Been a *fan* since he started his first playthrough!
This is very slay 😼
@@Sunny.Jay22 Meow!
2:17 it's actually not lag efficient As when you power a single piece of redstone dust, it gives block updates to 24 neighbouring blocks and when you constantly power and unpower in 2 gt interval it creates more lag than the observer whereas the observer gives 6 block updates. Now the lag is actually not that much and for smaller scale like this is ok for the build as this way is cooler than observers.
@Jay1717_ I thought observers created more lag, but didn't fully understand how tick updates worked, thanks for the correction. That said, I was informed by a reliable source that the updates from dust only happen if the light level is low, and that by properly lighting around the redstone it would negate the light level check and thus negate the lag, or at least the worst of it. I'm not a technical Minecrafter, so feel free to correct me if I'm not understanding that accurately.
@jakekeltoncrafts the misconception being, dust "lights up" which causes it to emit light(it doesnt really) and light updates are false.. and dust updates the block in the radius of 2 blocks of diamond shaped cube no matter what. Hope it helped :)
@Jay1717_ Because it's looking for blocks to affect with the redstone power, regardless of if there are blocks there or not, where observes only look forwards and directly backwards, redstone looks in all directions. You can see I am not very technically savy, haha. Thanks for the clarification!
Dude, I saw kota's video and to my surprise someone already posted a redesign even crediting kota!! I'm going to use this in so many builds and this has got to be one of the best newest discoveries for the redstone/building community in a while!! This is awesome Jake!
