All things custom, repair and Offroad. Let’s get you fixed.
I just bought a blown up SRT-10 Viper truck! Let’s build the “Demon Truck” killer?! V10 style ;)
Turbo? NA?? Help me decide!
Come with me while I spend all my money making this 18 year old dodge truck run again AND run better than it ever has.

Let’s build a broken $3500 single cab Cummins into a race truck. Diagnosed and fixed in the driveway
Переглядів 6293 роки тому
I purchased this truck for $3500 not running and not knowing anything about why it didn’t run I just took a risk and it really paid off. A few days later I’ve spent almost $8000 on performance parts now it’s time to cut this thing down and turn it into a short bed. Guys this is an unedited video taken on an Iphone!! Everything else will be done with quality cameras.

Plz contact me man I’d like to ask some questions thanks very much. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Any update?
Save up $$ and send it off to Calvo to build it. Calvo has built some CRAZY Vipers
What the heck, we need more content! Subscribing. What’s your location?
Would love a follow up on this project and wiring guide!
Follow up video? I'm very interested in what it took to wire it up in place of the 22R.
I would throw a used hemi in it and call it a day
My SRT 10 blew up the same way at 63k miles, I just rebuilt it for 10K. I am selling it now.
Just watched your Cummins videos, ever finish it? Excited to see what you do with the SRT10 my favorite color from that generation. Subscribed to see the progress
We need much more content from your channel brother, I’ve got an 05 QC and I love your paint.
Go Boost
Amazing color
Truck is clean, cleaner than the 04 blown up one I bought. Mine dropped valve seat and annihilated left cylinder head and one cylinder, all that was left in the cylinder was the rod and wrist pin no piston. Be sure and have the main bearing mod done. I subscribed to to see your progress, best of luck.
Appreciate your comment! I will keep everyone updated as I go.
The best year srt 10, those 06s look the best, have the best shifters too
The 9.0L V10 Stroker engine is a perfect replacement for both Dodge Viper and truck.
Stay away from high compression, mine is expensive enough running on premium! Keep it pump gas friendly so you can still enjoy it away from the strip.
Check out @stevemorris engines he makes some trick motors for the vipers
That thing is sick!
Thanks man! Can’t wait to get going on it
There is no replacement for displacement. But that thing would be absolutely amazing if hellion turbo made a sleeper twin turbo kit for this. It would decimate all, after about 20k and overnight parts from back east. Lol
I’ll be building my own something or other. Don’t need those boys
Let’s freaking go!!!! This is going to be rad! Another one of your trucks i won’t be able to get enough of!!!! 🤠
This is an absolutely needed project. This thing goes so hard! I'm excited to watch this build.
If I want to run the 2.2 pulley do I have to run the seventh injector kit and or also get it tuned or can I just put the 2.2 on and be good to go ? I don’t really race it or anything it’s a crawler but I would like the little extra torque Im sure it might give it…
Any updates?
Wow that’s so unfortunate about all those cracked heads !! I have 285k miles on my 2000 4Runner on a 5 inch lift and 33s no lights on the dash .. ac blows Ice cold ❄️ it’s my favorite truck !!! Plan to keep It forever
Excellent! I’ve got a T100 with a 4th gen I bought new on ebay in 2014 or 15, it’s got over 120k on it now, and I’m having to go in there for a bad fuel injector, so I’ll be changing the valve cover gaskets and sleeving all the fuel rail wiring, the plastic disintegrated 80k miles ago, so everything is laced with aircraft string tie and clamped up off the lower intake. I’m going to cover that with black plastic braid this time in. I’m also replacing the high pressure fuel line and return hoses, as well as the vacuum lines under the fuel rail in the back by the fuel pressure regulator. I like the way you approach the job, and you show the average person that the job isn’t impossible to do with basic hand tools.
Hi, nice combo. Where did you get the injectors from , please include a link? Also did you use a piggy back or a tune?
Would love to see more! I just started a 1uz swap in my 85 4runner. Going to stick with my w56 trans for now with the eBay bell housing and clutch conversion
Subscribed! 1uz for the win! You may be interested in my 3rd gen 4r build
I have 1 in my FJ62. You can remove all the traction control stuff. Cartune company in New Zealand has tons of videos on these if you didn't know.
I just bought a 62 cadi sedan deville and I’ve been a sc400/sc300 driver my whole life. I’ve always been a 1uz & 2j cat over a ls just cus I like imports & not tryin to throw shade on Ls motors but I’ve been considering doing a ls swap for the cadi but I’m thinking of going with a 1uz but I’m wondering how complicated that would be ?
glad you're uploading more! keep up the good work! cant wait to see more of your builds!!!
Hey man stumbled on this video and your channel and im doing similar stuff! Ehhem in 2015 i restored the real marty mcfly truck i know the 85s real well!
Is there a big difference between swapping a 1st gen and a 3rd gen 4runner? I have a 3rd gen that I've pulled the tired 5VZ out and was going to rebuild and turbo but a local guy has a '93 SC400 with only 170K miles that I was thinking of maybe attempting a 1UZ swap.
Problem is 93 is non obd2, it can work by non emissions legal in most states
@@HalversonAutoUT We don’t worry about emissions in Florida, we leave that up to Californians.
Keep them coming, I'll watch them. I'm 90% of the way done with my swap but man was the research a pain!
Any pointers?
@@jacob5412 there's alot of little things. Biggest time saver I wish I knew, when you install a Reman starter, highly recommended if your rebuilding the motor as it's under the intake, you have to tap it all the way in with a hammer or your flywheel will rub. Had to take alot apart learning that the hardware. Also it's a good idea to remove the knock sensors when installing the starter as they are fragile and will explode with the slightest tap.
@@dailyhauntedhistory thank you, much appreciated
Also, how well did the engine fit? What mounts did you use? Upon research ( not much info out there for this swap ) I found that there’s some grinding and cutting and possible sump relocation to make it fit.
@@jacob5412 I used the northwest toys mounts, and added a 2" body lift, they suggest 1" but I didn't want it to be too tight. It could move further back towards the firewall an inch or 2, but would need custom mounts fabbed. Om my runner 1st gen IFS, I used a front sump pan out of an ls400, and everything fit, no griding required. I did have to remove the steering dampner for the pan to fit, I plan on making a drop bracket for it and will be hooked up close to factory position just lower on the passenger side. Also I went from auto to a manual, between that and engine placement, I had to make a Trans mount adapter that moved the crossmember forward a few inches. Just flat steel with welded nuts that the mount mounts to, and then bolts to stock location on the frame.
Never enough swap content! Subscribed!
That 22re sticker 😂
Subscribed. I love Toyota content.
Thank you!
Can't wait 👌👌 im doing the swap on my 91 pickup right now aswell
Let me know if you have any questions!
@@HalversonAutoUT just mainly the wiring situation is what the main issue will be im pretty sure
Did you add a 7th injector kit or just the injectors in this video with just the stock ecu?
The walbro pump will give you trouble in the 15 amp wifi fuse .It will draw to many amps
How does it run with the new injectors and smaller pully? Did you have to do any other mods to get the A/F mixture correct?
I’m wondering the same thing if anybody has done this since he’s not responding can you please let me know thank you
Awesome video but where’s video number 2?
I will be posting an update video soon!
I’m wondering the same thing I need to do some supercharger maintenance as well and I would like to run the bigger fuel pump and 2jz injectors also with the 2.2 pulley 🙌🏼🙌🏼 I pray I’m not wasting time and money I don’t have
how's it running? did the Walbro pump help with detonation ?
I'm going to post a video here soon!
@@HalversonAutoUT?? Did you post one up ? I want to do this too thanks
@@HalversonAutoUTplz more info thanks
Is the mpg loss noticeable? And has it been worth the time and money in your opinion?
I actually got better mileage when I installed the SC when the truck itself had no lift and stock tires. Increase of 2 mpg
Thanks for the video. Just subscribed 👍
Awesome, thank you!
I live in Colorado have a sc 2001 4Runner and I’ve been on the forums and can’t find much help for upgrading the sc without going super expensive . I really like what you did and are doing. Do you think what your doing would be good and would work for mine? I should mention that I am doing a lot of driving in my car for work and stuff. How long does this keep the vehicle disabled.
Do you have a supercharger now?
I’d love to see a video on how to install that pulley! I’m going to change mine and I’d love to have a vid to reference to
Did you get yours done?
Are the injectors plug and play?
@@HalversonAutoUT what about tuning?
Yes they are. The computer seems to do a good job with them al stock, no rich/ lean codes after 1,000s of miles.
Looking like a regular UA-camr now. Throw in some music over the time lapse portions and she’ll be mint. I don’t know how you find the time man but I like it keep it up
@@HalversonAutoUT I don’t have the patience for any of it props to you man. I’m sure it’s going to suck up a lot of your time. Plus comments are good for the algorithm.
Ayyyyyyy it's a good day
