Being able to U Turn from stationary is a handy skill. NO REAR BRAKE USED, CLUTCH AND THROTTLE ONLY. Using the rear break all the time can mask poor clutch control. Try without the rear break next time your practicing folks

Another excellent video, thanks for creating this - possibly the best content I’ve seen for beginners like myself who are lacking confidence. Deserving of far more views/subscribers imo.

Its important for experienced riders to practice it too. But more important is E stop and emergency avoidence.

Do you also have any advice on how to turn the time back? The Gray Skyline is waiting for you in 2 years or a month ago (if you can make it)

I can be confident all I want but never reach the Bella-Ciao-restaurant-dance type of confidence, that's beyond me

Hello 👋🏻 good to hear from you! Hope you've been keeping well since Amsterdam 😊 Riding a motorcycle and gaining confidence is like a lot of other skills, just takes time, practice and patience with yourself to learn, along with determination.

Great video! Planning on going for DAS in the summer, and reading up on the mod1 is worrying me a wee bit! I remember struggling with the slalom during my CBT. Although, I'm most likely much better now 😂

It's all practice. If you have a 125 then I'd find a quiet carpark and practice your slow riding, slalom, figure 8 and u turns. I'll be doing a video on each manoeuvre so hopefully it'll help you.

I ride in all weather except in snow or frost as someone on L plates. I just try not to lean as much on heavy rainy days and acceleration smooth through corner more than dry weather. I see soo many experienced riders putting their bike away when It rains. And im like your missing out but if it makes them safer then who am I to argue.

A really good exercise. The “L” will gain in confidence, just keep off the front brake 😊 and use the back to stabilise. Ready for a wee trip to Applecross. 😊😊😊

To get fast at this course you have to do bursts of speed but also be able to slow down quickly by progressively applying front brake at the right time as the rear brake is not powerful enough. A good rider can use the front brake if done properly and not snatching it. A good speed must be maintained too so above 8 mph
