Lol great video and easy for a 101 Marine Mechanic to understand🤓 Thanks!!! 👍👍👍
WOW! Very impressive from start to finish! Are you self taught?
So I am trying to figure out what is going one with my outboard motor I can put it in full down in drive and reverse and still can turn it with my hands
Mecury 115 not going into gear
Those wires are just to control your throttle cables but i believe you have a bad clutch dog. It may be cause by adjusted higher RPM and by shifting into Fwd gear it grinds your clutch and wore down over time. Hope this helps!
Is it difficult to install a new clutch dog?
@dpetersontube if your familiar with your outboard lower unit it will be a breeze. Otherwise take pictures, place it down orderly or whatever it takes to remember how to put it together. Goodluck!
@@yellamamba4554 drain LU oil, remove prop, 5 bolts hold LU in place, but to get prop shaft out I will need to remove the shift lever rod in front of the water pump assembly - correct? If so, does that come out fairly easily? And should it be in gear or in neutral? Thanks.
Dangar marine channel has a good one on this
Hey great video and very informative as always! I a quick question, my outboard when going into reverse won’t click in as usual so the RPM increases as I put back the throttle and then she clicks into reverse at high RPM. Have you any experience or solution with this problem? Iv only had the boat on the water two days and my heart is broken 😅🫣
😆😆😆
You are absolutely nuts...then again I already know that. LOL. What's next for you??!
Over 40? How about over 50! First time skiing in YEARS! And after my foot and hand surgery!!! But that was one of the best, most beautiful days skiing!! Thanks for videoing it. Now it's time to make another for skiing over 50 and 60! 😀
It's a Christmas Miracle! Although I agree it would have been better with an original Peterson rendition.
So funny!!! Well done. Happy holidays to you all too!
Nice try but it’s so easy to tell that you are lip syncing #fake
#real
When in forward gear it locks counter clockwise
So reverse is opposite?
False. The dog gets locked in when switched to gear and won't move either way
What does this mean is wrong with the motor because mine is doing the same thing and I would like to fix it?
the gear cables get stretched out over time and occasionally need minor adjustments to engage fully in forward and reverse
@@dpetersontube ok I tried it didn’t work I’ve been told that my lower units gears are shot so I’m just gonna have to buy a new motor thank you for your help
@@daxpack3251 Probably your dog clutch and forward gear be cheaper to replace them or even get a new lower unit than buying a whole motor
@@daxpack3251 Also put a score on your prop and prop nut check for slipping there
@@connorcornell2933 I could but this motor has also been nothing but trouble so I thing it would probably just be better
Great Video! Thank you.
Sometimes the reel leaves a trail of bubbles as it's being dragged around the water and you can retrieve it with a treble hook. Actually happened to me as a kid fishing when a large Carp pulled my rod in. As my friend was fishing about an hour later he hooked my rod when reeling it in and still had the giant Carp on the line Lol
Did you fix it? if not this is what you have to do to fix it. ua-cam.com/video/3dXzCEhGJXs/v-deo.html
I bet that was it - one little screw loose. Unfortunately this was a while ago and I sent mine back to DJI for complete repair whiich was not cheap. Thanks for the reply though. I still own same model so it's good to know this info. Cheers.
@@dpetersontube You get knowledge with practice, has happened to me. Yes DJI repairs were also expensive for me but thank God no more sending units to them.
Nice video! Looks great
Fantastic montage!
Nice job. I have to admit I was getting a little concerned on the lift.. Couldn't help but laugh at your labs lack of interest in your feat of strength lol. I also have a yellow lab (Bailey) she's also a notorious chewer.
Como você arrumou?
ua-cam.com/video/3dXzCEhGJXs/v-deo.html to repair it.
omg i like this
Awesome
Ty was quite the chef at a young age. Very nice video. He did make me extremely nervous watching him standing on that chair trying to lift the bag of sugar though. It's always fun to look back at old videos to reminisce about their childhood.
Love it! Great day skiing!!! Thanks for the video!
Am I the only dope watching these videos Lol
Still lots of seaweed. Someone said it was gone
Did you find a fix for this?
return to dji for repair - 78 bucks
I ended up taking it apart, fixed the issue. Roll/Yaw motor crank mechanism was misaligned. 10min fix
Hi there - did you ever get this motor turning properly? I'm experiencing a similar issue with my 2001 DF70. It's looking like tearing things apart and replacing the bushings is the only way to go... Thanks!
+Jason Carey I did fix this WITHOUT tearing things apart. Sorry it took so long to respond - I hope you didn't tear apart yet. What I discovered was that the steering column was gunked with dried up grease in the upper portion and pumping grease into the zirk fitting on the starboard side only allowed grease to escape through the bottom of the column. The grease clog was at the top. So I got brave and thought a solution might be to add another zirk fitting to the steering column on the port side of the engine and higher up than the other fittings. I actually drilled a small hole and screwed in a new zirk fitting. Then I pumped grease into this one and low and behold it penetrated through the dried up grease at the top! I had to work through it a lot with pumping and turning several times - but it worked! I solved this problem that would have cost a lot of money at a shop. I paid $1.50 for a new fitting and then the cost of grease. Hope that helps. If anyone needs to see exactly what I did I will post a video.
@@dpetersontube Just wondering where and how far down from the top of the tube did you drill a new hole for a grease fitting. I have a Df140 and I'm having the exact problem, I want to drill a hole like you did but don't wat to hit the bushing and make things worse.
@@MrQubanito I tried to drill the hole on the somewhat flattened surface of the steering column fairly high up - just slightly above the top zirk fitting on the other side. I can take a photo if you'd like. it was a good fix and has lasted over 2 years now without fail.
@@SurvivorDiet I kind of was thinking that would be a good spot, about 2 or 3 inches below the top on that flat spot. A picture would be awesome and much appreciated. I'm going to try and pump some penetrating oil through the fitting I have now with a grease gun, and see if that helps. I have it working much smoother than when I started so I'm making progress.
@@SurvivorDiet I would also like a picture of this. As I am having the same issue with a dt150. Thanks
Wow! beautiful!
This Video Sucked.
FIRST COMMENT BTW THIS IS BORING
