What magwell is that? And was it nice fit or did you have to do something specific to make it fit that grip?
@@Pamperz19 it’s the old “STI” Tactical magwell. It fits pretty good. But it’s not perfect.

I just got an 86. Thinking about a mulcher. What type of money per hour could I expect?
It really depends on your location and the type of work you’re looking to get into.

I have sold several T86’s for mulching applications and the results have been good. If somebody wants a video breakdown of the T86 let me know and I’ll do one on my channel.

It had a dealer installed forestry kit. For better protection, less downtime and easier maintenance.

The one thing I’ve noticed is that boxcar doesn’t seem to have the cooling down better. They have always over heated in hot weather compared to to some other brands. I don’t trust them in hot weather climates

Does anyone running the T86 keep getting plugged filter error codes?
Constantly… I pulled the rubber “nipple” off the filter door in the engine bay and it’s helped it tremendously!

Do you prefer the Bobcat T86 over the Cat 299D3XE?
As a total package (machine, dealer etc) the bobcat is the obvious choice. In terms of head to head performance? The cat is a tried and true machine. But bobcats T86 newcomer is their best CTL they’ve ever made…

I would! The T86 is turning out to be the best bobcat machine we’ve had. The Super-flow is amazing!
What kind of hydraulic temps are you seeing? Are able to keep the debris from settling on the top of the hood? I run a T770, but it looks like it’s time to think about an upgrade! Thanks for the video.
@@michaelthompson9559 we haven’t seen a temp above 174 this summer. The machine sucks air in from the back now instead of the top. It’s cooling system is setup similar to the cat 299.
@@michaelthompson9559I’ve been running a T86 forestry with a Loftness head this week. Temps in upper 90s, high humidity. A/c full blast, mulching from 10-530 with only a 10 minute shutdown to blow out the screens and refuel and I haven’t seen ECTs over 200 and hydraulic temps haven’t past 172. This machine runs circles around the T770 in all metrics when mulching.

What do your hydraulic temps get up to with the Loftness cooler? I have the same setup with no cooler & my temp runs up to 200 in no time…

Looks like several roll off dumpsters will be needed for that job! Do you have any more information about that job? Maybe you can record an introduction to your videos so we can better understand more of the job at hand. Otherwise, love your content.
I will in the future! This job was a few months back and I was trying out a new go pro mount. But! The context of the video; Property owner needed two single wides gone so a new house could be constructed in their place. We demoed both trailers and hauled them off in 12 20yard roll offs. We had to use the smaller roll offs due to the tighter roadway that leads to the houses.

@@ezraccompetitiveshooter8350 it gets hot but it’s also been a hot summer. We are just shy of 300hrs i blow the radiator out couple times a day and it keeps us rolling good!

I have a Bobcat E42 with a rotary cutter. My recommendation is purchase the extra counter weight. The E42 is narrow and working on any uneven terrain over the side can be challenging. I love your mulching head. Hopefully purchasing one soon. Was the case drain a requirement for that head?
Yes! Case drain is a requirement for this head.

Thanks! Yes, we buy all our trucks, trailers and equipment new. We bid our jobs via a mathematical equation that allows us to get a $# and time estimate based on the area and vegetation type and density.

Have you gotten some good use out of this setup and do you think the 4-ton excavator can handle this setup? I am currently thinking about getting a setup like this. Do you have any suggestions, would you do it again or would you do it differently?
Hey! We have about 40hrs on the head now and we love it on our mini. We are definitely pleased with our acquisition and wouldn’t change anything!
